C43 OLD BEWICK TO CHILLINGHAM WOOPERTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of highway in the County of Northumberland.
C43 Harehope Hall To Old Bewick from its junction with B6346 heading in a north westerly direction for a length of 1580 metres.
C43 Old Bewick To Chillingham from its point with Harehope Hall to Old Bewick continuing on for a further 545 metres.
The Order is to be effective from the 10th May 2024 until the 31st October 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 10th May 2024 between the hours of 08:00 until 16:00; however, the order will remain in place until 31st October 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the B6346, A697, B6348, C43 and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out resurfacing works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
