Roads Surrounding St Annes Triathlon - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council (“The County Council”) has made an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle (excepting event participants) from proceeding over the following lengths of road, in the Borough of Fylde:
i. Inner Promenade From its junction with St Pauls Avenue for its full length.
ii. South Promenade for its full length.
iii. North Promenade for its full length.
iv. Todmorden Road from its junction with North Promenade to its junction with A584 Clifton Drive North.
An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:
A584 Clifton Drive North - A584 Clifton Drive South – St Pauls Avenue and vice versa.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to enable the St Annes Triathlon 2024 Event to be held.
The prohibition will be operative from 0800 hours until 1330 hours on Sunday 19th May 2024, or until completion of the event. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
