Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic (Schedule No. 29) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway as defined in the below schedule.
The Order shall come into operation on 4th June 2024 and shall remain in force for eighteen months with the expectation that works are anticipated to be complete by the 30th September 2024.
The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day weekends included The Council is satisfied that the order is needed because works are being executed on or near the road to carry out surface dressing.
While the Order is in operation traffic, including bicycle movement, along the highway specified in paragraph 1, will be temporarily restricted. No personnel, except upon the direction of a police constable in uniform, cause or permit any vehicle or pedal cycle to enter on, proceed or wait in the length of highway described above.
It is anticipated that all roads will be closed for a maximum of 7 days within the road closure notice period; the closure may be on consecutive days or on separate days depending upon site, weather conditions and works required.
Advanced Warning signs will be placed on site at least 7 days before the planned commencement of the works.

Nothing in the Order will apply to:
Any police, fire brigade, ambulance or coastguard vehicle, or any personnel on official duty, or any vehicle or person authorised by and with the permission of Cornwall Council.
Any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitate the bringing of vehicles into the section of highway to which this order applies.
Traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above.
An alternative route will be provided for vehicles as per the signed diversion on site.
Pedestrian access will be maintained to properties situated on or adjoining the highway as specified in the above
schedule
Where possible access for buses will be maintained

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984)
Temporary Speed Restriction (Schedule No. 30) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above order in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to impose a 10 MPH speed limit over an area of highway as defined in the below schedule.
The Order shall come into operation on 4th June 2024 and shall remain in force for eighteen months with the expectation that works are anticipated to be complete by the 30th September 2024.
The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day weekends included The restrictions imposed by this order shall remain in force on such days and during such times as the appropriate traffic signs are displayed. In this order “traffic sign” means a sign of any size, colour and type described or authorised under or having effect as though prescribed or authorised under section 64 of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The Council is satisfied that the order is needed because works are being executed on or near the road to carry out surface dressing Advanced Warning signs will be placed on site at least 7 days before the planned commencement of the works.
