THE EAST DUNBARTONSHIRE COUNCIL

(OXFORD STREET, KIRKINTILLOCH) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

On the 7 May 2024 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so) on Oxford Street, Kirkintilloch between its junctions with Union Street and Kerr Street, by reason of works being executed on or near this road. The closure will be carried out in two phases to allow access to the Regent Centre Car Park.

This Order will operate from 09.00 hours on Sunday, 19 May until 18.00 hours on Sunday, 26  May  2024.

Alternative Route

The alternative routes will be by way of Kerr Street, Cowgate, Union Street, Bellfield Road, Northbank Road Alexandra Street, Kirkintilloch. Internal routes will be sign posted.
