NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Queens Avenue, Macclesfield
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Queens Avenue, Macclesfield – From the junction with Meadow Way to the junction with Chestnut Avenue.
The alternative route will be via Queens Avenue, Hurdsfield Road, Hurdsfield Road Roundabout, The Silk Road, Brocklehurst Roundabout, Hulley Road, Queens Avenue and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Monday 17 June 2024 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 28 June 2024.
