The Surrey County Council

Heathside Crescent (D3708) Woking
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Heathside Crescent (D3708) Woking as extends from its junction with (D3710) Park Road to its junction with (D3708) White Rose Lane; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Heathside Crescent (D3708) Woking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” in its entirety.

Alternative Route: Park Road, Coley Avenue, Heathside Road, and White Rose Lane, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate utility works for, or on behalf of The John Henry Group.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 night, between the hours of 7pm and 11pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 04 June 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for residents and businesses, and they will be required to use the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
