THE LEICESTER (GALLOWTREE GATE, 20/05/24) (TEMPORARY) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicester City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be, for the following anticipated period of time to:
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Gallowtree Gate between its junction with Halford Street and a point 20 metres northwest thereof from 7.30am on Monday 20th May 2024 until 6.00pm on Friday 19th July 2024.
Diversion route: Halford Street, Charles Street, St Georges Way, Waterloo Way, Regent Road, Carlton Street, Oxford Street, Southgates, St Nicholas Circle, St Nicholas Place, High Street.
This order is necessary to facilitate bollard installation works taking place and to prevent the likelihood of danger to the public.
This Order will come into effect on the 20th May 2024 and will continue in force for up to 18 months, or until the order is no longer deemed necessary, whichever is the earlier.
Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
