NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER

(STAMFORD BRIDGE FOOTPATH NO 11)
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE
MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION
ORDER 2023

On 1 May 2024 East Riding of Yorkshire Council
confirmed the above Order made under Section 119 of
the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the
full width of a section of Stamford Bridge Footpath No
11 commencing at Grid Reference SE 7149 5493 and
leading north-easterly across Brown Moor for some
110 metres to Grid Reference SE 7156 5502 to a line
some 160 metres in length commencing on the existing
footpath at Grid Reference SE 7149 5493 and leading
north-north-westerly along the western edge of the
playing field for some 80 metres to Grid Reference
SE 7148 5500 then east-north-easterly for some 56

metres then southerly for three metres then east-
north-easterly for some 21 metres to join the existing

footpath at Grid Reference SE 7156 5503, as shown on
the Order map.
A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order
map have been placed and may be seen free of charge
at Beverley Customer Service Centre, Cross Street,
Beverley, HU17 9BA and Pocklington Customer Service
Centre, Pocela Centre, Station Square, Pocklington,
YO42 2QU during normal opening hours Monday to
Friday. Copies of the Order and map may be bought
there at the price of Five pounds (£5.00).
The Order comes into force as from 9 May 2024,
but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to
question its validity, or that of any provision contained
in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of
the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground
that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any
regulation made under the Act has not been complied
with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under
paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by
paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six (6)
weeks from 8 May 2024 make an application to the
High Court.
