Finkle Street - Temporary Traffic Regulation
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(FINKLE STREET, MARKET WEIGHTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing
any vehicle to proceed along Finkle Street, Market
Weighton between the hours of 18.00 until
23.00 from 13 May 2024 until 22 May 2024.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
carriageway resurfacing works, to be carried out and
completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will
be completed within ten days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order
is via Spring Road, road from Goodmanham to Spring
Road, Main Street, Goodmanham Road, Londesborough
Road, Market Place and High Street.
The road will be open at all times to pedestrians and
for vehicular access to properties directly affected by
the closure and for emergency services.
The Order will commence 13 May 2024 and continue
in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or
until the works which it is proposed to carry out have
been completed, whichever is the earlier.
