What is happening?

Darlington Borough Council Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2024 Clarendon Road, Darlington

Darlington Borough Council has made an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to close:

CLARENDON ROAD

From its junction with Barmpton Lane westwards for 5 metres.

An alternative route will be signed via Barmpton Lane, Whinfield Road, Jesmond Road and vice versa.

The Order is necessary to allow road surfacing works on Barmpton Lane. The maximum duration of the temporary closure under this Order is 18 months commencing from 13th May 2024, it is anticipated that the closure will be effective for 2 weeks.
