WARRINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Council made Orders under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Beechways & Pineways, Appleton

(Prohibition of Driving & Clearway) Temporary Order 2024

The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving & clearway as follows: Beechways for its entire length; Pineways for its entire length. The Order will be effective from 6th May 2024 for 5 weeks, between 8:30am & 5:30pm.

The alternative route will be: Beechways via Fairways, London Rd, Dudlow Green Rd & vice versa; Pineways via Beechways, Dudlow Green Rd & vice versa. The restrictions are required for footway surfacing. Ref: 7359248

Grove Ave, Lymm

(Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2024

The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Grove Ave from its jct. with Booths Hill Rd for 90m in a northerly direction. The Order will be effective from 6th May 2024 for 2 weeks. The alternative route will be via Booths Hill Rd, Barsbank Ln, Daisy Bank Rd & vice versa.

The closure is required to allow Cadent Gas to carry out gas mains renewal works. Ref: 8183096

The Cross & Lymm Bridge, Lymm

(Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2024

The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving as follows: The Cross from its jct. with Rectory Ln to its jct. with Lymm Bridge; Lymm Bridge from its jct. with The Cross to its jct. with Dane Bank Rd. The Order will be effective from 12th May 2024 for 1 day. The alternative route will be via Dane Bank Rd, Brookfield Rd, Eagle Brow & vice versa. The closure is required to allow United Utilities to carry out carriageway remedial works. Ref: 8183299

Various Rd's (Prohibition of Driving, Clearway & Suspension) Temporary Order 2024

The effect of which is as follows: Prohibition of Driving & Clearway:

(1) Cromwell Ave from Waterways/Canons Rd to Old Hall Rd/Cavendish Cl; (2) Cromwell Ave from Twenty Acre Rd/Old Hall Rd to Twenty Acre Rd/Shackleton Cl; (3) Cromwell Ave from Callands Rd (East)/Europa Blvd (East) to Europa Blvd (West); High Legh Rd from Higher Ln to the Borough Boundary; Warrington Rd (Higher Walton) from Park Ln to Old Chester Rd.

Temporary Suspension of The Borough of Warrington (B5158 Cherry Ln & Elm Tree Rd, Lymm) (7.5 Tonne Weight Limit, Except for Access) Consolidation Order 2016 in its entirety. The Order will be effective from 13th May 2024 for 10 weeks, between 9:30am & 3:30pm. The works will only take 3/4 days per location to complete however are weather dependent.

The alternative routes will be:

(1) Cromwell Ave via Canons Rd, Hood Ln Nth, Sycamore Ln, Tankersley Grove, Whittle Ave, Westbrook Way & vice versa; (2) Cromwell Ave via Twenty Acre Rd & vice versa; (3) Cromwell Ave via Europa Blvd & vice versa; High Legh Rd via A56 Higher Ln, A56 Church Rd, A56 Booths Hill Rd, Elm Tree Rd, Cherry Ln, A50 Cliff Ln, A50 Warrington Rd, West Ln & vice versa; Warrington Rd via Park Ln, A56 Chester Rd, Old Chester Rd & vice versa. The restrictions are required for carriageway surface dressing. Ref: 7657932

The temporary restrictions will be in place as & when the signs are in place on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.

The Borough of Warrington (A573 Parkside Link Rd)

(Prohibition of U-Turn) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Council made an Order under Sections 1, 2 & 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on 1st May 2024. The effect of the Order is to prohibit Motor Vehicles proceeding along the A573 Parkside Link Rd in a south easterly direction from making a U-turn at the traffic signals, so as to proceed north westerly in the opposite direction. The Order will be effective from 2nd May 2024. Deposited documents may be viewed on-line at https://www.warrington.gov.uk/permanent-traffic-regulation-orders or Contact Warrington, 1 Time Sq, Warrington, WA1 2NT between 9am & 5pm, Monday to Friday. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from 1st May 2024, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

Notice of Variation of Charges at Off Street Parking Places:

Walton Hall Gardens Car Park 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Council has approved a variation of the scale of charges operated at the Walton Hall Gardens Car Park. The revised scale of charges will come into force from 1st June 2024. Details of the existing & revised charges are set out below:

Weekdays

Cars Existing Charge £3.00 Revised Charge £3.50

Coaches Existing Charge £8.00 Revised Charge £10.00

Weekends/Bank Holidays

Cars Existing Charge £4.00 Revised Charge £4.50

Coaches Existing Charge £8.00 Revised Charge £10.00

Release Fee Existing Charge £90.00 Existing Charge £90.00

Failure to display a valid ticket during charging hours or parking in contravention to the conditions of the car park may result in a Penalty Charge Notice of £50 or £70 being issued. The amount payable is dependent on the severity of the contravention, which can be reduced by 50% if payment is received within 14 days of the issue of the Penalty Charge Notice or within 21 days for Penalty Charge Notices issued by post.
