What is happening?
Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: U70239, Hereford Lane, Linton Ross On Wye, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U70239, Hereford Lane, Linton Ross On Wye, approximately 20 metres north of the junction with Church View. Grid Ref: 365974/225381. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Hereford Lane onto Fording Lane, onto the B4224, onto the C1280, onto Burton Road, onto Hereford Lane and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to new service installation works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 29th of May 2024 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 3 days.
