NOTICE OF MAKING

NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the Borough of Middlesbrough has made the following Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 51 and 53 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act. The proposed Order will come into operation on 10th May 2024 and amend the Schedules of The Council of the Borough of Middlesbrough (Central & North Area) (Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2022 as listed hereto. Full details and descriptions are contained in the order which, together with associated plans and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the order can be viewed at www.middlesbrough. gov.uk. Hard copies can be viewed at Newport Community Hub, St Pauls Road, Middlesbrough, TS1 5NQ between the hours of 9am and 5pm Monday to Thursday (excluding bank holidays). If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act or that any requirement of the Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with that person may, within six weeks from the date of this notice apply for that purpose to the High Court. The following Schedules of The Council of the Borough of Middlesbrough (Central & North Area) (Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2022 are amended as follows: Items 1781, 1782, 1783, 1784, 1785, 1786 & 1787 Zetland Road are deleted from Schedule 1 - No Waiting. Items 1844 Depot Road, 1845 Durham Street, 1846 Gosford Street, 1848, 1849, 1850, 1851, 1852 & 1853 Innes Street, 1854 & 1855 Snowdon Road, 1856 Vulcan Street, 1857 & 1858 West Street, 1859 Zetland Road are added to Schedule 1 - No Waiting at any time. Item 1847 Harris Street is added to Schedule 1 - No Waiting Monday to Saturday 8am to 6pm. Item 2 Albert Street extension - North of Gosford Street and item 3 Gosford Street are added to Schedule 1A - Restricted Parking Zone - No Waiting. Item 18 Harris Street is deleted from Schedule 6 - Specified Class of Vehicles. Item 30 Gosford Street is added to Schedule 6 - Specified Class of Vehicles. Item 58 Zetland Road is deleted from Schedule 8A - Parking Places with Charges & Business Permits.
