Taunton, Multiple, Temporary Road Closures due to Gas Main Works.

Temporary Closure of Leslie Avenue, Cyril Street West and Cyril Street, Taunton
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Leslie Avenue (7th May 2024 - 30th July 2024) - from the junction with Greenway Road to the junction with Cyril Street; Cyril Street (8th July 2024 - 9th August 2024) - from the junction with Leslie Avenue to the junction with Fowler Street; and Cyril Street West (8th July 2024 - 9th August 2024) - from the junction with Leslie Avenue, westwards for a distance of 126 metres. A total distance of 515 metres. This Order will enable Wales and West Utilities to carry out phased gas mains replacement works. The Order becomes effective on 2nd May 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months. These phased works are expected to commence on 7th May 2024 and last until 9th August 2024 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 95 days.
