What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

SEVENOAKS AREA

A225 RIVERHILL, SEVENOAKS. TN15 0RS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of the replacement of street lights, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A225 Riverhill, Sevenoaks, from 21.00hrs on 28th May 2024 until 05.00hrs on 29th May 2024 or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from Morleys Roundabout to 120m north.

The alternative route is via A225 Riverhill/Tonbridge Road/High Street, A224 London Road/Tubs Hill/London Road/Amherst Hill, A25 Worships Hill/Westerham Road, A21 Sevenoaks By-Pass and vice versa.

B258 TOP DARTFORD ROAD, HEXTABLE. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of UK Power Networks works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B258 Top Dartford Road, Hextable, on or after 31st May 2024 for up to 3 days between 09.30hrs and 16.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from Row Hill Farm to junction with Goss Hill.

The alternative route is via B258 Top Dartford Road/Barn End Lane/High Road/Church Hill A225 Hawley Road/Main Road/Dartford Road, A20 Main Road/London Road, B2173 London Road, B258 Swanley Lane/Main Road and vice versa.

BEECHENLEA LANE, SCHOOL LANE & SWANLEY VILLAGE ROAD, SWANLEY, BR8 7NQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of the installation of traffic calming measures, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Beechenlea Lane, School Lane and Swanley Village Road, Swanley for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

Road closure times are between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs.

Beechenlea Lane will be closed on 29th May 2024 for 1 day between Swanley Village Road and B2173 London Road.

School Lane will be closed on 29th May 2024 for 1 day between Swanley Village Road and Lower Road.

Swanley Village Road will be closed on 30th May 2024 for 1 day between Button Street and B258 Swanley Lane.

The alternative route for Beechenlea Lane, is via B2173 London Road, B2173 High Street, B258 Swanley Lane, Highlands Hill, Beechenlea Lane and vice versa.

The alternative route for School Lane is via Highlands Hill, B258 Main Road, Lower Road, School Lane and vice versa.

The alternative route for Swanley Village Road is via Button Street, A20 London Road, Broomhill Roundabout, B2173 London Road, B2173 High Street, B258 Swanley Lane, Highlands Hill and vice versa.

 BRADBOURNE ROAD, SEVENOAKS. TN13 3PY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bradbourne Road, Sevenoaks, on or after 30th May 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 22.

The alternative route is via Bradbourne Road, Amherst Road, St Johns Road and vice versa.

BRITTAINS LANE, SEVENOAKS. TN13 2NL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Brittains Lane, Sevenoaks, on or after 31st May 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Tanglewood Cottage.

The alternative route is via Brittains Lane, A224 Amherst Hill/London Road/Tubs Hill/High Street, Oak Lane and vice versa.

BUTTON STREET, SWANLEY. BR8 8DY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Button Street, Swanley, on or after 31st May 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Hazeri.

The alternative route is via Button Street, A20 London Road, A225 Dartford Road, Main Road, Ship Lane, Wood Street and vice versa.

CARTERS HILL, UNDERRIVER, TN15 0RY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Carters Hill, Underriver, on or after 13th May 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

Carters Hill will be closed outside Black Charles Barn.

The closure will be lifted when the gang are not on site.

The alternative route is via Carters Hill, Mill Lane, B245 London Road, A225 Weald Interchange/Riverhill, St Julians Road and vice versa.

CHURCH ROAD, SUNDRIDGE, TN14 6DQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Road, Sundridge, on or after 14th May 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Hillview.

The alternative route is via New Road, A25 Main Road, Church Road and vice versa.

FIVE FIELDS LANE, FOUR ELMS. TN8 6NA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Five Fields Lane, Four Elms, on or after 28th May 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed near Five Fields House.

The alternative route is via Five Fields Lane, B2027 Clinton Lane/Bough Beech Road/Four Elms Road and vice versa.

HEVER ROAD, EDENBRIDGE AND UCKFIELD LANE, HEVER, TN8 5BT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hever Road, Edenbridge and Uckfield Lane, Hever.

Hever Road is planned on 29th May 2024 for 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs

Uckfield Lane is planned on 30th May 2024 for 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs

The roads will be closed from Crouch Cottage to near the railway bridge.

The alternative route is via B2026 Mill Hill/B2026 Hartfield Road/B2026 Stick Hill, Cowden Pound Road, Uckfield Lane and vice versa.

LONG BARN ROAD, SEVENOAKS WEALD, TN14 6PY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Long Barn Road, Sevenoaks Weald, on or after 27th May 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Weald County Primary School.

The alternative route is via Long Barn Road, Bowzell Road, Bowzell Green, Bayley’s Hill, White House Road, Gracious Lane Bridge, Gracious Lane, Hubbards Hill, Glebe Road, Windmill Road and vice versa.

OAK LANE, SEVENOAKS, TN13 2PB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of the replacement of a street lighting column, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Oak Lane, Sevenoaks, on or after 13th May 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Cross Keys Lodge.

The alternative route is via Oak Lane, Ashgrove Road, Hopgarden Lane, Grassy Lane and vice versa.

OLD TERRYS LODGE ROAD, WEST KINGSDOWN TN15 6HY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow new electric connection to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Old Terrys Lodge Road, West Kingsdown, on or after 28th May 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Old Terry’s Lodge. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pilgrims Way, Kemsing Road, Exedown Road and vice versa.

PARK LANE, SEAL, TN15 0EG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of carriageway and bellmouth resurfacing, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Park Lane, Seal, on or after 28th May 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Grove Road and Eastgate House.

The alternative route is via Blackhall Lane, Seal Hollow Road, A25 Seal Road, A25 High Street, Park Lane and vice versa.

ST JULIANS ROAD, UNDERRIVER, TN15 0RT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of lining works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Julians Road, Underriver, on or after 28th May 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between A225 Tonbridge Road and Riverhill Cottages.

The alternative route is via A225 Tonbridge Road/High Street, B2019 Seal Hollow Road, Blackhall Lane, Park Lane and vice versa.

SYCAMORE DRIVE, SWANLEY, BR8 7WP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of the installation of telecoms antennas, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sycamore Drive, Swanley, on or after 28th May 2024 for up to 3 days between 08.00hrs and 16.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside of St Bartholomews Catholic Primary School.

The alternative route is via B2173 Bartholomew Way/Maidstone Road, Hilda May Avenue, Northview and vice versa.

THE VILLAGE, CHIDDINGSTONE, TN8 7AH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Village, Chiddingstone, on or after 28th May 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Mill Lane/Hill Hoath road to Lych Gate.

The alternative route is via The Village, Hampkins Hill Road, Wellers Town Road, Ryewell Hill, Hoath Corner, Hoath Corner To Oakenden Lane, Truggers Lane To Grove Road, Grove Road, B2188 Fordcombe Road, B2188 High Street, B2176 Penshurst Road, B2176 Station Hill, B2176 Moorden Lane, B2027 Tonbridge Road, B2027 Chequers Hill, Mill Lane, Hill Hoath Road and vice versa.

TINKERPOT LANE, WEST KINGSDOWN, TN15 6AD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Tinkerpot Lane, West Kingsdown, on or after 13th May 2024 for up to 1 day between 08.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Knatts Valley Road and South Bank.

The alternative route is via Tinkerpot Lane, Knatts Lane, Knatts Valley Road and vice versa.

VIKING WAY, WEST KINGSDOWN, TN15 6DY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of SGN works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Viking Way, West Kingsdown, on or after 13th May 2024 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside of the housing development.

There is no alternative route but access will be given when safe to do so.

WINKHURST GREEN ROAD, BOUGH BEECH, TN8 7AN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Winkhurst Green Road, Bough Beech, on or after 27th May 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Scallops and Bore Place Road.

The alternative route is via Bore Place Road, B2027 Tonbridge Road/Chequers Hill/Clinton Lane/Bough Beech Road, B2042 Ide Hill Road/Green Lane, Scallops and vice versa.
