What is happening?

DUMFRIES AND GALLOWAY COUNCIL (THE GRALLOCH CYCLE EVENT) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER) ORDER 2024

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close various roads in and around Gatehouse of Fleet to facilitate the holding of The Gralloch Gravel Cycling Event. The event will be held on 18/05/24 between 1030hrs and 2000hrs starting and finishing in Garries Park, Gatehouse. Utilising public roads Ann Street, B727 Gatehouse to Cally Palace and C13s Laurieston to Gatehouse and other private off-road routes to connect. Road Closures and Parking Suspensions will be in place as required. Alternative routes will be available via A75(T) and A762. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

The closures are necessary in the interests of road safety to facilitate carriageway surface dressing works. The closures are planned to be undertaken during the period of 14th May 2024 to 30th September 2024 and shall have effect only at such times as indicated by appropriate signs.

Emergency Vehicle access will be maintained at all times. Vehicle and pedestrian access to properties within the closed section will be maintained where practicable.
