What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AREA
ASHFORD ROAD, NEW ROMNEY, TN28 8TF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow roadworks to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ashford Road, New Romney, on or after 28th May 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Cockreed Lane and Rolfe Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ashford Road, Cockreed Lane, St Marys Road, A259 Dymchurch Road, A259 High Street and vice versa.
BECKETT ROAD, BROOKLAND (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Beckett Road, Brookland, on or after 27th May 2024 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Puddock Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Beckett Road, Brack Lane, Snargate Lane, B2080 Rhee Wall Road, King Street, Harvey Road and vice versa.
BOYKE LANE, OTTINGE, CT4 6XH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Boyke Lane, Ottinge, on or after 13th May 2024 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of White Horse Lane and Canterbury Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via White Horse Lane, Longage Hill, Canterbury Road and vice versa.
COWGATE LANE, HAWKINGE, CT18 7NP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cowgate Lane, Hawkinge, on or after 28th May 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from number 19 to the junction of Stombers Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Flegis Court Lane, Church Hill, Alkham Valley Road, A260 Alkham Valley Road, A260 Canterbury Road, White Horse Hill, Canterbury Road, The Street, Cowgate Lane and vice versa.
WILBERFORCE ROAD, SANDGATE, CT20 3DB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wilberforce Road, Sandgate, on or after 17th May 2024 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Kirby Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wilberforce Road and A259 Sandgate High Street.
WILDAGE & MADAMS BOTTOM, STELLING MINNIS, CT4 6BH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wildage & Madams Bottom, Stelling Minnis, on or after 29th May 2024 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Fir Tree Hill to Wildage Farm, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Fir Tree Hill, Fishers Lane, South Lodge Road, Wildage & Madams Bottom and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
