Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
DARTFORD & GRAVESHAM AREAS
B262 HALL ROAD, SOUTHFLEET/NORTHFLEET, DA11 8EN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & CYCLE LANE CLOSURE) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of National Highways surveys and construction works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B262 Hall Road, Southfleet/Northfleet. The cycle lane between the junction of the A262 Station Road and the adjoining exit slip road from the A2260 will also be closed.
Technical Surveys: 13th May 2024 – 17th May 2024 & 20th May 2024 - 24th May 2024
Full closure overnight for 2no. shifts 20:00pm-06:00am.
Scheme construction works: 14th June 2024 – 5th July 2024
Full carriageway closures over the weekends in both directions (Friday evening 20:00 to Monday morning 06:00) and weeknights closures (20:00 to 06:00) for the dates during the week.
Weekend Closures - Friday 14th June 2024 at 20:00pm – Monday 17th June 2024 at 06:00am.
Friday 21st June 2024 at 20:00pm – Monday 24th June 2024 at 06:00am.
Friday 28th June 2024 at 20:00pm - Monday 1st July 2024 at 06:00am.
B262 Hall Road will be closed on the bridge deck over A2 Watling Street.
Diversion route for Northbound traffic: B262 Hall Road, A2 Watling Street London Bound, A2 Watling Street for Ebbsfleet, then 3rd exit the roundabout, on next roundabout leave by 2nd exit and travel east to merge on to the B262 Hall Road.
Diversion route for Southbound traffic: B262 Hall Road, merge on to the coast bound A2 Watling Street, exit the A2 for Gravesend Central onto the A227 Wrotham Road intersection, enter the A2 Watling Street London Bound and travel north and exit the A2 via off-slip for Pepper Hill onto the B262 Hall Road intersection.
