ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 - KIRKLEES COUNCIL

(CROSS LANE, STOCKSMOOR, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Cross Lane, Stocksmoor from its junction with Stocks Moor Road to its junction with Station Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Stocks Moor Road, Station Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 20th May 2024 and remain in force until 24th May 2024

(TOWNGATE, NEWSOME, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Newsome:-

Road Closure
Towngate - from its junction with Castle Avenue to its junction with Church Lane

Point Closure
St John’s Road - at its junction with Towngate

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Castle Avenue, Newsome Road South, Church Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 20th May 2024 and remain in force until 26th July 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(HEATH ROAD, LINTHWAITE, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Heath Road, Linthwaite from its junction with Church Lane to its junction with Blackmoorfoot Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Felks Stile Road, Blackmoorfoot Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday, 21st May 2024 and remain in force until 7th June 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(TAYLOR LANE, SCAPEGOAT HILL, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Taylor Lane, Scapegoat Hill from its junction with Old Lane to its junction with Pike Law Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Taylor Lane, High Street, Pike Law Lane, Pike Law Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday, 21st May 2024 and remain in force until 7th June 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(HEY LANE, SCAMMONDEN, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Hey Lane, Scammonden from its junction with Church Lane to its junction with New Hey Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Pinfold Lane, Chapel Hill Lane, Low Platt Lane, Green Slacks Lane, O’cot Lane, New Hey Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday, 21st May 2024 and remain in force until 7th June 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(LIDGETT LANE, SKELMANTHORPE, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that short length of Lidgett Lane, Skelmanthorpe at a point outside property no. 20 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Lidgett Lane, Westfield Drive, Westfield Avenue, Cumberworth Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday, 22nd May 2024 and remain in force until 24th May 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(VARIOUS ROADS, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Huddersfield on a rolling programme as follows:-

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Holmfirth on a rolling programme as follows:-

A6024 Woodhead Road, Honley/Thongsbridge - from Eastgate to a point near Calf Hill Road

A616 New Mill Road, Honley/Thongsbridge - from Station Road to a point near Smithy Place Lane

(TEMPORARY REDUCTION OF SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed at a speed in excess of 40 mph in the following lengths of road in Clayton West:-

Wakefield Road - from its junction with Woodhouse Lane to a point adjacent 40mph speed limit sign near Kiln Lane

Litherop Lane - from its junction with Wakefield Road to a point near bridge over River Dearne

Access to Sewage Works/Clayton Hall Farm - from Wakefield Road to Sewage Treatment Works.

It is intended that the restriction will commence on Friday, 24th May 2024 and remain in force until 1st November 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(LONGROYD LANE, LONGROYD BRIDGE, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY ONE WAY TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in a westerly direction in that length of Longroyd Lane from its junction with Manchester Road to its junction with Paddock Foot (traffic in an easterly direction only).

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the following routes:-

Diversion 1 - Manchester Road, Outcote Bank, Bow Street, Castlegate, Trinity Street, Gledholt Road, Heaton Road, Church Street, Market Street;

Diversion 2 - Manchester Road, St Thomas’ Road, Folly Hall, Chapel Hill, Castlegate, Trinity Street, Gledholt Road, Heaton Road, Church Street, Market Street.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 20th May 2024 and remain in force until 12th July 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(SCAR LANE, MILNSBRIDGE, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Scar Lane, Milnsbridge from a point outside property no. 150 to a point outside property no. 160 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the following routes:-

Diversion 1 - via Scar Lane, Knowl Road, Church Street, Town End, Leymoor Road, Benn Lane, Grove Street, Dale Street, Market Street;

Diversion 2 - via Scar Lane, Crow Lane, Savile Street, Market Street, Dale Street, Grove Street, Benn Lane, Leymoor Road, Town End, Church Street, Knowl Road.

It is intended that the closure will operate on Wednesday, 22nd May 2024 between 19:00 - 23:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(YEW TREE LANE, SLAITHWAITE, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Yew Tree Lane, Slaithwaite from a point outside property no. 7 to a point outside property no. 9 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Yew Tree Lane, Lingards Road, Chain Road, Delves Gate, Dowry Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 6th May 2024 and remain in force until 10th May 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Brownhill Lane, Holmbridge from a point outside property no. 2 to a point outside property no. 28 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Cold Hill Lane, New Mill from its junction with Hawthorn Mount to its junction with Mayfield PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following length of road in Meltham as follows:-

Road Closure
Green Lane - from a point outside property no. 1 to a point outside property no. 5 One Way Traffic

Green Lane - in a south westerly direction from its junction with Clarke Lane to its junction with Holmfirth Road (traffic in a north easterly direction only)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 6) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of inbound cycle lane on Leeds Road, Huddersfield from a point outside Carpets Direct to a point opposite junction with Galloway Street

PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for cyclists affected by the closure will be available via the adjacent traffic lane.

It is intended that the closure will operate on Friday, 10th May 2024 between 09:30 - 15:30 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(LINFIT LANE, KIRKBURTON, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that short length of Linfit Lane, Kirkburton at a point outside Linfit House PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Linfit Lane, Paddock Road, Hallas Lane, Thorncliff Green Road, Jagger Lane, Common Lane, Westfield Lane, Lenacre Lane, Moor Top Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday, 8th May 2024 and remain in force until 10th May 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(STONEY BATTERY ROAD, CROSLAND MOOR, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Stoney Battery Road, Crosland Moor from its junction with Manchester Road to a point adjacent the canal bridge PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

There is no alternative diversionary route available.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Friday, 3rd May 2024 to follow on from the expiry of the Emergency Notice dated 12th April 2024 and will remain in force until 5th July 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary)
