Nottingham Road - Prohibition Of Traffic For Installation Of A New Water Main

What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(B600 NOTTINGHAM ROAD, NUTHALL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITIONS) ORDER 2024 (BX24-062)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Nuthall in the Borough of (Broxtowe).

The effects of the Order will be:

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding Southbound in the following length of road:

a. B600 Nottingham Road, Nuthall - From its junction with B600 Watnall Road to its junction with A610 Nuthall Roundabout.

2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading, and unloading in the following length of road.

a. B600 Nottingham Road, Nuthall - (Both Sides) (At Any Time) - From its junction with B600 Watnall Road to its junction with A610 Nuthall Roundabout.

3. The Existing Bus Lane in the following length of road at Nuthall in the Borough of Broxtowe shall be temporarily suspended during the works: -

a. B600 Nottingham Road, Nuthall - Between its junctions with B600 Watnall Road and A610 Nuthall Roundabout.

4. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

5. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 07:30 hours on Monday 3rd June 2024 Until 17:30 hours on Friday 12th July 2024

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be: Kimberley Road - Nottingham Road - A610 Kimberley / Eastwood Bypass - A610 Nuthall Roundabout and Vice versa

The Order will come into force on Monday 3rd June 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out.

The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable Severn Trent Water to carry out an installation of a new water main.
