School Lane, Chilwell - Prohibition Of Driving For Patching Repairs
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(SCHOOL LANE, CHILWELL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024 (BX24-049)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Chilwell in the Borough of Broxtowe.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road: -
a. School Lane - From its junction with High Road to its junction with Hallams Lane.
2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading (Both sides, 09:30-15:00) in the following length of road: -
a. School Lane - From its junction with High Road to its junction with Hallams Lane.
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 09:30 hours on Tuesday 7th May 2024 Until 15:00 hours on Friday 17th May 2024
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be: High Road - B6464 High Road - Cator Lane - Bramcote Avenue and vice versa.
The Order will come into force on Tuesday 7th May 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out.
The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands to carry out large scale patching repairs;
