Carlton in Lindrick - Temporary Traffic Prohibition
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(GREENWAY, CALRTON IN LINDRICK)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024 (BS24-111)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Carlton in Lindrick in the District of Bassetlaw.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:
a. Greenway – from its junction with the Cross in a northerly direction for a distance of 150 metres.
2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 08:00 hours on Monday 20th May 2024
Until 17:00 hours on Friday 24th May 2024
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
A60 Doncaster Road – A60 High Road – A60 Carlton Road – B6041 Thievesdale Lane – B6041 Farmers Branch – B6045 Blyth Road – Hundred Acre Lane – Tinkers Hill and vice versa.
The Order will come into force on Monday 20th May 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Severn Trent Water to carry out wastewater pipework repairs;
