(TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by pedestrian traffic on the following sections of footway in Bedlington in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 23rd May 2024 until the 4th July 2024.
U6539 Bonchester Close Footway from its point at the gable end of house number 26 heading east for a distance of 20 metres.
There is no alternative route for pedestrian traffic.
U6539 Winchester Way Footway for its entire length of 40 metres.
The alternative route for pedestrian traffic will be via Bonchester Close.
It is expected that the footways will only be closed from the 23rd May 2024 until the 13th June 2024 and that the footways will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 4th July 2024.

The closures have been requested by Northern Gas Networks for mains gas replacement works in the footways. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
