A617 Pleasley Hill Way - Road Closure to Enable Works to Be Carried Out

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (A617 PLEASLEY HILL WAY, MANSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024 (M24-068)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Mansfield Town in the District of Mansfield.

The effects of the Order will be:

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road: -

a. A617 Pleasley Hill - from its junction with Water Lane to its westerly junction with A617 Chesterfield Road North.

2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading in the following length of road: -

a. A617 Pleasley Hill (Both sides, 08:00- 06:00) - from its junction with Water Lane to its westerly junction with A617 Chesterfield Road North.

3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 20:00 hours on Monday 20th May 2024 Until 06:00 hours on Saturday 1st June 2024 AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be: Abbott Road - A6075 - A6191 Chesterfield Road North and vice versa.

The Order will come into force on Monday 20th May 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
