(Roseville Street, Sheepscar, Leeds)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highways (Road closure required for Northern Power Grid works) Leeds City Council has today made an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Roseville Street, Sheepscar, Leeds in the Gipton & Harehills Ward at its junction with Gledhow Road. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Anderson Avenue, Gledhow Road and vice versa. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Friday 7th May 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works re completed if earlier. (Temporary Traffic Management Measures) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because of the likelihood of danger arising to the public (holding of events), Leeds City Council intends (in not less than 7 days) to make an Order, the effect of which will be as follows:
SCHEDULE 1
No person shall cause or permit any vehicle between 00.01hrs on the first day of an event until 00.00hrs on the last day of that event, as listed below, to: 1. Travel at a speed in excess of 30MPH on: a) The A61 Harrogate Road Harewood; from a point 250 metres south of its junction with A659 Harewood Avenue (the existing 30mph/un-restricted terminal point), in a southerly direction to a point 16 metres north east of its junction with Manor House Lane (the existing 30mph/ un-restricted terminal point); or b) The A659 Arthington Lane and Otley Road; from Grange Farm in Arthington Village to the junction with A61 Harrogate Road and on the whole length of Weardley Lane; 2. Turn right to enter the event site, via the green gate situated approximately 500 metres south of A659 Harewood Avenue from A61 Harrogate Road. 3. Turn right from Church Lane onto the A61 Harrogate Road when exiting the event site. 4. Turn right to enter the event site via the main archway situated at the A61 Harrogate Road/A659 Harewood Avenue junction.
SCHEDULE 2
1. No person shall cause any vehicle to stop on Harewood Avenue from Harrogate Road for 300m in an easterly direction, Church Lane, Spring Gardens, The Square and Bondgate, between 00.00hrs and 23.59hrs on any event day listed below, PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the relevant event or by arrangement with the organisers.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highways (Road closure required for Northern Power Grid.) Leeds City Council has today made an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Back Nice View, Harehills, Leeds, Leeds in the Gipton & Harehills Ward between its junctions with Nice View and Karmac Road. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Nice View, Karnac Road and vice versa. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Thursday 9th May 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s) for Road Closure required for maintenance work Leeds City Council intends in not less than 7 days to make an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Back Barden Place, Armley, Leeds in the Armley Ward between its junctions with Whingate Road and Conference Road. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Whingate Road, Alliance Street and Conference Road and vice versa. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Thursday 30th May 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s) for Yorkshire water public sewer diversion works Leeds City Council intends in not less than 7 days to make an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Wordsworth Drive, Oulton, Leeds in the Rothwell Ward between its junctions with Oulton Drive and Sugar Hill Close. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Wordsworth Drive. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Monday 20th May 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. Temporary Road Closure & One-Way Traffic Flow & Parking Bay Suspension Order 2024
Canvas Yard Event – Sunday 05 May 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Leeds City Council as traffic authority for the Leeds Metropolitan District, has today made an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, prohibiting the use of certain roads by vehicles to facilitate the holding of the Canvas Yard Event on 05 May 2024. The event will require a road closure and the implementation of one-way traffic flow & parking restrictions.
The effect of the Order is that No person shall cause any vehicle to:
1. Proceed the length of road specified below (whilst the road closure is in place). 2. Proceed contrary to the stated traffic flows (provided that such prohibitions shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the event). Signed local diversions will be in operation. 3. Park in the parking bays stated below.
SCHEDULE
A. Road Closure between 08:00 hours and 23:59 hours on Sunday 05 MAY 2024.
1. Trent Street: at its junction with Bowling Green Terrace
B. One-Way Traffic Flow between 08:00 hours and 23:59 hours on Sunday 05 MAY 2024.
1 . Bowling Green Terrace: from its junction with Jack Lane, to its junction with Trent Street; (suspension of two-way flow and introduction of a one-way in a northerly direction). 2. Trent Street: from its junction with Bowling Green Terrace, to its junction with Marshall Street; (suspension of two-way flow and introduction of a one-way flow in a westerly direction).
C. Suspension of Parking Bays between 08:00 hours and 23:59 hours on Sunday 05 MAY 2024
1 . Bowling Green Terrace: from its junction with Jack Lane to its junction with Trent Street.
2. Trent Street: from its junction with Bowling Green Terrace for 50m in westerly direction.
Where necessary existing provisions relating to speed limits either by Order or by virtue of street lighting (Restricted Roads) are hereby suspended on the roads specified the Order in so far as they relate to designated event vehicles only (including taxi pick up) for as long as the road closure is in operation. Access for emergency services and pedestrians will be maintained and access for pedestrians to all premises situated on or adjacent to any road or part of road to be closed or to which restrictions apply including other premises accessible for pedestrians from and only from such a road. Mint Festival Newsam Green Farm
Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th May 2024 Road Closures
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Leeds City Council intends made the Leeds City Council (Mint Festival, Newsam Green Farm) (Temporary Road Closures and Prohibitions Of Waiting) Order 2024 Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public due an increased vehicular and pedestrian traffic in connection with the holding the MINT Festival event at Newsam Green Farm. The effect of Order is as follows:
PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN 1. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to turn right leaving the site from shuttle/Mint taxi Gate 1 onto Newsam Green Road; between 08:30 hours Saturday 4 May and 23:59 hours on Sunday 5 May 2024.
PROHIBITION OF WAITING 1. No person shall cause any vehicle to wait between 08:30 hours on Saturday 4 May and 01:00 hours on Monday 6 May 2024, upon: a. Pontefract Lane from Newsam Green Road to Lakeside Way. b. Newsam Green Road from Pontefract Lane to Bullerthorpe Lane. c. Bullerthorpe Lane from its junction with Newsam Green Road for a distance of 500m to the north, and for a distance of 500m to the south.
30MPH SPEED LIMIT
1. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel at a speed in excess of 30mph on Pontefract Lane and Newsam Green Road from the junction of Newsam Green Road and Bullerthorpe Lane and the junction of Pontefract Lane and Lakeside Way, between 08:30 hours Saturday 4 May and 23:59 hours on Sunday 5 May 2024.
40MPH SPEED LIMIT
2. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel at a speed in excess of 40mph on Bullerthorpe Lane from its junction with Newsam Green Road for a distance of 1km to the north, and for a distance of 350m to the south, between 08:30 hours Saturday 4 May and 23:59 hours on Sunday 5 May 2024.
PROHIBITION OF ENTRY
3. No entry for vehicles (except buses associated with the event): turning into Newsam Green from Bullerthorpe Lane; between 21:00 hours and 23:59 hours Saturday 4 May 2024 and Sunday 5 May 2024.
TRAFFIC SIGNALS
4. Temporary Traffic Signals: Bullerthorpe Lane and Newsam Green Road: three-way signals (two phase system) as required between 08:00 hrs and 23:59hrs Saturday 4 May 2024 and Sunday 5 May 2024.
PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES
5. Road Closure: Pontefract Lane from Junction 45 Lakeside Way to gate 2: between 21:00 hours and 23:59 hours Saturday 4 May 2024 and Sunday 5 May 2024.
6. Suspension of parking restrictions: Springwell Road from Water Lane to Springwell View for between 08:30 hours Saturday 4 May 2024 and 01:00 hrs Monday 6 May 2024.
The Prohibitions and restrictions above shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the event. Access for emergency services and pedestrians will be maintained to all premises situated or adjacent to any road or part of road to which restrictions apply including other premises accessible for pedestrians from and only such road. (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s) for Road closure required for Northern Power Grid works Leeds City Council intends in not less than 7 days to make an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Cross Lane, Upper Wortley, Leeds in the Farnley & Wortley Ward between its junctions with Tong Road and Upper Wortley Road. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Tong Road, Upper Wortley Road and vice versa. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Thursday 23rd May 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s) for Construction of new footway and cycleway junction kerbs works Leeds City Council intends in not less than 7 days to make an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Byron Street, Sheepscar, Leeds in the Little London & Woodhouse Ward for 10m with it’s junction with Regent Street. Parking on Byron Street between it’s junctions with Bridge Street and Leylands Road. The reversal of the one way system on Bridge Street between it’s junctions with Byron Street to Melbourne Street. The suspension of the one way system on Byron Street between it’s junctions with Bridge Street and Regent Street. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Southbound diversion – Regent Street, Eastgate, Bridge Street. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because of the likelihood of danger arising to the public (holding of the above event) Leeds City Council has today made an Order, the effect of which is to introduce the following traffic restrictions during the event dates and times listed in the Schedule below. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait or park in the following locations, at any time when coning is in place: 1. Park View Crescent (adjacent to the park perimeter); from Junction of Street Lane to the junction of Park Lane. 2. Notice of Extension in Duration of Footpath Closure Order
Definitive Map of Public Rights of Way, Footpath Leeds 87
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to section 15 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Department for Transport has issued a Direction extending the duration of the Leeds City Council Public Footpath Leeds 87 Order 2023, made by the Council on 30 November 2023, so that it may continue in force to 16 November 2024 (subject to further extension). The effect of the Order is to close to pedestrians Definitive Map Footpath Leeds 87 – from a point 80 metres north-west of Ridge Road (at the southerly spur of Footpath 87 towards Hartley Avenue/Melville Place), to a point 240 metres from Ridge Road (where southerly spur rejoins main path). The diversion route is by following the southerly spur of Footpath 87 towards Hartley Avenue/Melville Place, which bypasses and rejoins the closed length of Footpath. It is necessary that the closure remain in effect due to the continuing likelihood of danger to the public due to excavations having caused the Footpath/adjoining land to become unstable.
