DISABLED PERSONS PARKING PLACES – SCHEDULE 237

The Croydon (Prohibition and Restriction of Stopping, Loading and Waiting) and (Free Parking Places) (Amendment No. K9) Order 20-

The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No. K10) Order 20-

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council proposes to make the above Traffic Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.

  • The general effect of the Orders would be to:

  • Revoke the disabled parking places in the vicinity of No. 55 Bensham Manor Road, Thornton Heath, No. 89 Broadcoombe, South Croydon, No. 14 Buller Road, Thornton Heath, No. 325 Castle Hill Avenue, New Addington, No. 5 Chelsham Road, South Croydon, Nos. 4 and 10 Cromwell Road, Croydon, No. 7 Dixon Road, South Norwood, No. 43 Elmside, Fieldway, New Addington, No. 26 Glenthorne Avenue, Croydon, No. 133 Langdale Road, Thornton Heath, No. 34 Maberley Road, Upper Norwood, and No. 8 Ridgemount Avenue, Coulsdon.

  • Designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons’ badge may be left without charge or time limit in the following locations.

Aschurch Road, Croydon

Outside No. 22 and partially across the frontages of Nos. 20 and 24

Ashley Road, Thornton Heath

Outside No. 33

Bradley Road, Upper Norwood

Outside No. 48

Davidson Road, Croydon

Outside No. 442 and partially across the frontage of No. 440

Lakehall Gardens, Thornton Heath

Outside No. 32 (replaces one space in a partial footway permit/payment bay)

Leander Road, Thornton Heath

Outside No. 40 and partially across the frontage of No. 38

Longheath Gardens, Croydon

Partially outside Nos. 225/236 and Nos. 226/237 (two wheels up on the footway)

Outside No. 140 and partially outside No. 138 (replaces one space in a payment only bay)

  • Amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders to accurately represent the new parking arrangements as they exist on site.

  • A copy of the proposed Orders and all related documents can be inspected between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, at Access Croydon, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA (Alternatively all related documents or further information can be requested by email to Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk.

  • Persons desiring to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the, Parking Design Section, 3rd Floor, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA or by emailing the Parking Design Team (email address above)

  • quoting the reference: PD/CH/K9 & K10 by 23 May 2024.

THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS

FOOTPATH NO. 850, UNDERWOOD, FIELD WAY, CROYDON

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works by UKPN, they have made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrian movements on Footpath No. 850, which serves Nos. 1 to 83 Underwood, Field Way.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place no person shall proceed along Public Footpath No.850 adjacent to the flank wall of Nos. 76 to 83 Underwood, Field Way.

3. Whilst the Order remains in force the alternative route for pedestrians will be via a temporary footpath, as appropriately signed.

4. The Order will come into operation on 08 May 2024, and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within three days. However, the Order will remain in force for 6 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

5. Nothing in this Order shall apply to anyone carrying out the said works, or to anything done for police, ambulance, or fire brigade purposes or with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a civil enforcement officer.

OLIVER AVENUE, SOUTH NORWOOD

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate water service pipe repair works by Thames Water they have made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements in Oliver Avenue.

2. During the said works Oliver Avenue will be closed between the common boundary of Nos. 15 and 13 Oliver Avenue and the common boundary of Nos. 7 and 9 Oliver Avenue.

3. Whilst the Order remains in force the alternative route for traffic will be via Oliver Avenue, Holmesdale Road, Whitworth Road and reversed, as appropriately signed.

4. The Order will come into operation on 07 May 2024, and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within seven days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

  • a vehicle being used to carry out the said work.

  • a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

  • anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

REGINA ROAD, SOUTH NORWOOD

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF PARKING

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate a crane operation to remove a microcell antenna on behalf of Walden Telecoms, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict parking in Regina Road, South Norwood.

2. Whilst the works are taking place, waiting will be prohibited at any time on both sides of Regina Road between its junction with Sunny Bank and a point 41 metres north-east of that junction.

3. The Order will come into operation on 08 May 2024 and it is anticipated that the work will be completed in two days. However, the Order will remain in force for a maximum of 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

4. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

  • any construction vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.

  • any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
