Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 01 May 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Howard Road (D2835) Dorking.

Alternative Route: Arundel Road, (A25) Vincent Lane, and (A25) West Street.

This Order is required to facilitate signal refurbishment works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 8 months between the hours of 7pm and 5am, during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 May 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.5) 2024

On 1 May 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate resurfacing of carriageway and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 7 May 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.

In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

1. that length of C66 Plough Road, Smallfield which extends from its junction with C66 Smallfield Road to its junction with C66 Redehall Road. Alternative Route – C66 Smallfield Road, C71 Church Road, C65 Hornecourt Hill, C65 Gayhouse Lane, C65 Scotts Hill, C70 Normans Road, C67 Chapel Road and C66 Redehall Road;

2. that length of D428 Rockfield Road, Oxted which extends from its junction with D429 Wolfs Hill to its junction with A25 East Hill. Alternative Route – D429 Wolfs Hill, C85 Pollards Wood Hill, C85 Wolfs Row, A25 Westerham Road and A25 East Hill;

3. that length of B2029 Godstone Road, Lingfield which extends from its junction with B2029 Ray Lane to its junction with B2028 Newchapel Road. Alternative Route – B2029 Ray Lane, B2029 The Common, A22 Eastbourne Road and B2028 Newchapel Road;

4. that length of B269 Titsey Road, Titsey which extends from its junction with B269 High Street to its junction with B269 Titsey Hill. Alternative Route – B269 High Street, A25 Westerham Road, A25 East Hill, A25 West Hill, A25 Godstone Road, A25 Oxted Road, A22 Godstone By-Pass, A22 Godstone Interchange, A22 Godstone Hill, A22 Godstone Road, A22 Caterham By-Pass, A22 Wapses Lodge Roundabout, A22 Godstone Road, B270 Hillbury Road, B270 Westhall Road, B269 The Green, B269 Limpsfield Road and B269 Titsey Hill.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 1 May 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to:- 

(a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the northbound carriageway of A217 Brighton Road, Lower Kingswood which extends from its junction with Margery Lane to its junction with Chipstead Lane; and (b) revoke item 10 of the Schedule to “Surrey County Council Various Roads in Reigate and Banstead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2024” in its entirety.

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate resurfacing of carriageway and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 3 May 2024.

Bones Lane (C66) Newchapel
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Bones Lane (C66) Newchapel as extends from its junction with (B2028) West Park Road to its junction with (D373) Brickhouse Lane.

Alternative Route: Bones Lane, Croydon Barn Lane, Smallfield Road, Plough Road, Redehall Road, (B2037) Effingham Road, and (B2028) West Park Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate installation of new electrical connection works for, or on behalf of UKPN.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 28 May 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Broadbridge Lane (D356) Smallfield
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Broadbridge Lane (D356) Smallfield which extends from its junction with Church Road (D362) to its junction with Redehall Road (C67).

Alternative Route – Weatherhill Road (C66) and Redehall Road (C67) or the same route in reverse.

This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works which is anticipated to be completed within 5 days, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 27 May 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles, cyclists and equestrians from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice.

This Order is required to enable SGN to facilitate gas main replacement works, which is anticipated to be carried out between 8am and 7pm on weekdays and between 8am and 4pm on weekends, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 20 May 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, access for emergency service vehicles will not be maintained and will be required to follow the diversion route.

The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises, including emergency service vehicle access, within the length of roads specified or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising. For Bullbeggars Lane, Flower Lane and Church Lane: vehicular access to premises will be maintained where safe to do so. For Salisbury Road: access to premises will not be maintained.

Schedule

1. that length of Salisbury Road (D402) Godstone which extends from its junction with A25 Godstone Road to the property boundary line between Nos.53 and 51 Salisbury Road. Works are anticipated to be carried out between 20/05/24 and 22/07/24.

Alternative Route – High Street, Oxted Road and vice versa; 2. that length of Flower Lane (C72) Godstone which extends from its junction with Oxted Road to a point 300m north of the northernmost side of the Flower Lane Bridge (A22/12) and any parts thereof. Works are anticipated to be carried out between 15/07/24 and 12/08/24.

Alternative Route – Oxted Road, Tandridge Hill Lane and vice versa; 3. the entire length of Church Lane (C72) Godstone. Works are anticipated to be carried out in phases and rolling closures between 05/08/24 and 07/10/24.

Alternative Route 1 – Oxted Road, Eastbourne Road and vice versa; Alternative Route 2 – Oxted Road, High Street, Eastbourne Road and vice versa; 4. the entire length of Bullbeggars Lane (D399) Godstone. Works are anticipated to be carried out between 19/08/24 and 09/09/24.

Alternative Route 1 – Church Lane, Oxted Road, Eastbourne Road and vice versa; Alternative Route 2 – Church Lane, Oxted Road, High Street, Eastbourne Road and vice versa.

D424 Woodhurst Lane, Oxted and C72 Station Road, Woldingham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate major maintenance works including but not limited to: carriageway treatment works and/or carriageway surfacing works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 20 May 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

2. that length of C72 Station Road, Woldingham which extends from its junction with Slines Oak Road to its junction with Church Road.

Alternative Route – C72 Northdown Road, C72 Gangers Hill, C73 Tandridge Hill Lane, A25 Oxted Road, A22 Godstone By Pass, A22 Godstone Hill, A22 Caterham By Pass and C72 Woldingham Road.

D330 Norwood Hill, Charlwood and D2629 Park Rise, Leatherhead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate major maintenance works including but not limited to: fine milling works and/or footway slurry works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 20 May 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

For part 2 and 3: The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises, including emergency service vehicle access, within the length of roads specified or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

For part 1: In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

1. that length of D1262 Alpine Road, Redhill which extends from its junction with the access road to the Phoenix Centre to its junction with College Crescent.

Alternative Route – D1262 College Crescent, C224 Frenches Road and D1262 Osbourne Road (N.B. the alternative route is for part of the closure only and for one-way due to the one-way system on Osbourne Road); 2. the entire length of D1169 Sutton Gardens, Merstham.

Alternative Route – D1169 Taynton Drive and D1169 Weldon Way; 3. the entire length of D1169 Sunstone Grove, Merstham.

Alternative Route – D1169 Taynton Drive, D1169 Sunstone Grove, D1169 Weldon Way and C69 Bletchingley Road.

Park Lane (D2628) Ashtead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Park Lane (D2628) Ashtead which extends from its junction with Chalk Lane (X15245) to its junction with Dene Road (D2337). Alternative Route – Farm Lane (C56), Headley Road (C56), Tilley Lane (C56), Clay Lane (C56), Church Lane (C56), Tot Hill (B2033), Leech Lane(B2033), Mill Way (B2033), Reigate Road (B2033), By-Pass Road (A24), Leatherhead Road (A24), The Street (A24) and Park Lane (D2628) or the same route in reverse.

Kings Mill Lane (D355) South Nutfield
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Kings Mill Lane (D355) South Nutfield which extends from the northeastern property boundary line of “Dalma House” to the southwestern property boundary line of “Mole Country Stores”; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Kings Mill Lane (D355) South Nutfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in Part (a) of this Notice.

Alternative Route – Kings Cross Lane (D381), Crab Hill Lane (D381), Moats Lane (D381), Prince of Wales Road (C67), Green Lane (C65), Axes Lane (C65), Masons Bridge Road (D355) and Kings Mill Lane (D355), or the same route in reverse.

This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works which is anticipated to be completed within 4 days, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 27 May 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

How Lane (D1080) Chipstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) How Lane (D1080) Chipstead which extends from its junction with Bouverie Road (D1079) to its junction with the property known as “Woodlands Deer Farm”; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council How Lane (D1080) Chipstead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” in its entirety; and (c) Suspend “The Surrey County Council How Lane (D1080) Chipstead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023” in its entirety .

Alternative Route – High Road (C136), Hazelwood Lane (C137), Outwood Lane (B2032) and How Lane (D1080) or the same route in reverse.

This Order is required to allow SGN to carry out gas utility works, which is anticipated to be completed within 5 days, between 8:00am and 4:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 20 May 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
