Church Street (B284) Epsom Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024

On 01 May 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Church Street (B284) Epsom as extends from its junction with (A2022) Upper High Street and (A24) High Street to its access point with the entrance to "Pit Place" Church Street; (b) Revoke "The Surrey County Council Church Street (B284) Epsom Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023" in its entirety. Alternative Route: (1) (B284) Church Street, (A24) High Street, (A24) Ashley Road, (B290) Ashley Road, and (B289) Downs Road; (2) (B289) Downs Road, (B290) Ashley Road, (A24) Ashley Avenue, (A24) South Street, (A24) High Street, and (B284) Church Street; (3) (A24) High Street, (A24) Ashley Road, (B290) Ashley Road, (D2129) Downs Hill Road, (B289) Downs Road, and (B284) Church Street; (4) (B289) Downs Road, (D2129) Downs Hill Road, (B290) Ashley Road, (A24) Ashley Avenue, (A24) South Street, (A24) High Street, and (B284) Church Street; (5) Church Street, Burgh Heath Road, (B288) Longdown Lane South, (A2022) College Road, (A2022) Alexandra Road, and (A2022) Upper High Street, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate installation of road table works for, or on behalf of; (a) Surrey County Council and (b) to facilitate signalling works for, or on behalf of Yunex. For Part (a) These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 night, between the hours of 7pm and 6am; and for Part (b) These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 nights, between the hours of 8pm and 5am Monday to Friday, during the 6-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 03 May 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Part (a): Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. All other traffic will be required to follow the alternative route described above. Part (b): Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

D2084 Clandon Close, Stoneleigh Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D2084 Clandon Close, Stoneleigh. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate resurfacing works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 23 May 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle's owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Alternative Route - D2059 Calverley Road, D2178 Glenwood Road and D2047 Briarwood Road.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 16A Public Footpath Nos. 50 and 51 (Epsom & Ewell) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 9 May 2024 Surrey County Council will make the above mentioned Temporary Order, the effect of which is to: For the period 13 May to 9 June 2024 prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of Public Footpath No. 50 (Epsom and Ewell) from its junction with Ashley Road (grid reference 521644 158634) south for 155 metres (to grid reference 521624 158480). Suggested alternative route: proceed generally south west on Ashley Road and private tracks then generally south east on private tracks to rejoin the footpath. For the period 30 May to 1 June 2024 prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of Public Footpath No. 51 (Epsom and Ewell) from its junction with Tattenham Corner Road (grid reference 521869 158582) south west, south east and south west for 190 metres (to grid reference 521866 158421). Suggested alternative route: proceed generally north west along Tattenham Corner Road, then generally south west on Ashley Road and private tracks and generally south east on private tracks to rejoin the footpath. The Order is required to enable a special event, the Epsom Derby, to go ahead safely, and to enable the safe construction and dismantling of temporary facilities at the racecourse before and after the event. The closure will be in operation from 13 May 2024 to 9 June 2024. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required. The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. The 'Surrey County Council Public Footpath Nos. 50 and 51 (Epsom & Ewell) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024' will be made by the County Council under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
