Sandwell - Various Temporary Road works / Closures

The Borough Council of Sandwell (Field Road, Tipton) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2024 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Field Road from the junction of Upper Church Lane for 25m. Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits. A diversion route will be signed via Upper Church Lane, St Marks Road, Ridgeway Road and vice versa. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 17/05/2024 effective from 13/05/2024 (24hr). Purpose – to facilitate access for gas service works by Capital Group on behalf of Cadent Gas Ltd.

The Borough Council of Sandwell (Jervoise Lane, West Bromwich) (Temporary One-Way Road Closure) Order 2024 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Jervoise Lane, one-way in a westerly direction between the junctions of Clifton Lane (western side) and Walsall Road. Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits. A traffic diversion route will be signed via Charlemont Road and Walsall Road. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to commence and be completed by 12/05/2024 (8am - 8pm). Purpose – to facilitate access for electrical service works by National Grid Electricity Distribution.

The Borough Council of Sandwell (Green Lane, Great Barr) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2024 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Green Lane from the junction of Danford Way (western side) to the dividing line of property Nos. 22/24. The road closure will operate under short duration works (15-minute delay) but access will be maintained when safety permits and will be controlled by a traffic management operative. A traffic diversion route is not available due to the location of the network. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to commence and be completed by 14/05/2024 (9:30am-3:30pm). Purpose – to facilitate access to telegraph poles by Openreach engineers for the installation of fibre overhead cabling.

The Borough Council of Sandwell (High Street, West Bromwich) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2024 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along High Street, which will be closed one-way in a north-westerly direction between the junctions of Thynne Street (northern side) and Trinity Street North (southern side). Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits. A traffic diversion route will be signed via Birmingham Road, The Expressway (north-west bound), Cronehills Linkway, Congregation Way, Reform Street, Walsall Street and Bull Street. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 15/05/2024 effective from 14/05/2024 (7pm - 6am). Purpose – to facilitate access to repair/replaceamanhole frame and cover by Customer Solutions Plus on behalf of Severn Trent Water.
