What is happening?
CITY OF DONCASTER COUNCIL
Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic
(Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being
or proposed to be executed on or near the roads and the
effect will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in those
lengths of Bawtry road at Bessacarr and Warning Tongue
Lane at Cantley in the City of Doncaster District as described
in the Schedule to this notice on the dates and times referred
to in the said Schedule.
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public
and the workforce whilst carriageway resurfacing works
are undertaken.
NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for vehicles
affected by the Order is as described in the Schedule to this
notice. Those residents and businesses directly affected by
the works will be notified of the scheme and access
arrangements.

The Order will continue in force up to and including the 31st
day of May 2024 or until the works which it is proposed to
carry out in or near the said roads have been completed,
whichever is the earlier.
SCHEDULE
Locations
1) Bawtry Road, Bessacarr from a point 20 meters north of its
junction with Warning Tongue Lane continuing on Great North
Road, Rossington in a south easterly direction for a distance
of 230 meters.
2) Warning Tongue Lane, Cantley from its junction with A638
Bawtry Road, Bessacarr and Great North Road, Rossington in
a north easterly direction for a distance of 15 meters.
Dates and Times
20:00hrs 13th May 2024 until 06:00hrs 16th May 2024.
The roads will reopen daily.
In the event of engineering difficulties and/or adverse weather
conditions, the closure may extend beyond this date although
all closures to be completed by the 31st May 2024.
Diversion Routes
1) Bawtry Road, Carr House Road, The Sidings Roundabout,
White Rose Way, Middle Bank Roundabout, Carriage Drive,
White Rose Way M18 Roundabout, Great Yorkshire Way and
vice versa.
2) Warning Tongue Lane, Cantley Lane, Bawtry Road and
vice versa

NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Doncaster Council
intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to
make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic
(Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being
or proposed to be executed on or near the road and the effect
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in that length of
Moorends Road at Moorends in the City of Doncaster District
as described in the Schedule to this notice on the dates and
times referred to in the said Schedule
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the
workforce whilst an uplift for re-railing works through the level
crossing are undertaken.
NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for vehicles
affected by the Order is via Moorends Road, North Common
Road, Selby Road, Selby Road M18 Roundabout, Fieldside,
Field Road, King Edward Road, Marshland Road and
vice versa.

Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic
(Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being

will be to prohibit any vehicle/pedestrian from proceeding in

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER

CITY OF DONCASTER COUNCIL
FOOTPATH OFF LIME TREE AVENUE (ARMTHORPE)
EXTINGUISHMENT ORDER 2024
On the 1st day of May 2024, City of Doncaster Council
confirmed the above order made under section 118 of the
Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the order as confirmed is to extinguish the public
footpath running from Chestnut Avenue to Maple Grove, then
from Lime Tree Avenue via properties 27 and 29 to Lime Tree
Avenue, thence from Lime Tree Avenue via properties 51 and
53 to Lime Tree Avenue, as shown on the order map.
A copy of the order as confirmed and the order map have
been placed and may be seen free of charge at City of
Doncaster Council, Civic Office, Waterdale, Doncaster, DN1
3BU, from 9.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays.
Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price
of £10.00
The order comes into force on the 1st day of May 2024, but if
a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity,
or that of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it
is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as
amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as
amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not
been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may,
under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by
paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from the
2nd day of May 2024, make an application to the High Court.
