C70 TYNELY JUNCTION TO PRESTON JUNCTION PRESTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C70 Tynely Junction To Preston Junction from its junction with the U2030 heading in a north easterly direction for a length of 600 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 8th May 2024 until the 8th November 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 20th May 2024 until the 24th May 2024 between the hours of 09:30 until 14:45 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 8th November 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the C70, U2031, A1, B6347, C69 and vice-versa. Enquiries should be made to Northumberland County Council’s Contact Centre 0345 600 6400 or at https://one.network (enter the road number and road name). – Ref:138220425.
The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council for surfacing of the carriageway.
In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
