(BYWAY OPEN TO ALL TRAFFIC CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and in accordance with Regulation 7 of The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992 in that the following restrictions will continue to be in force on the U6047 Hartburn Grange Junction to Hill Top Junction Longwitton in the County of Northumberland.
Temporary Byway Open to All Traffic:-
A temporary byway open to all traffic closure has continued to be in force and all users will be prohibited to use the U6047 Hartburn Grange Junction to Hilltop Junction Longwitton for its entire length in the County of Northumberland. (“the Byway Open to All Traffic”)
There is no alternative route available.
This Order came into force on the 30th April 2024 and will remain in force until the 30th October 2024.
Access will be maintained for residents and the Farm Shop.
The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council due to the likelihood of danger to the public as the bridge has collapsed and the road is in an unsafe condition for any form of access.
The Emergency Notice issued on the 9th April 2024 was withdrawn on the 17th April 2024 as the information contained therein was incorrect and a revised Emergency Notice was issued on the 17th April 2024.
