TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF FOOTPATH
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (HOLME FOOTPATH NO.3 (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) CONTINUATION NO.2 ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Secretary of State Transport in pursuance of the powers conferred by Sections 14 and 15 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 approves of The Nottinghamshire County Council (Holme Footpath No.3) (Temporary Prohibition) Notice 2023 (which came into force on 3rd November 2023 and was continued in force by a Continuation Order which remains in force until 2nd May 2024 inclusive) being extended and continuing in force until 2nd May 2025 or until completion of the relevant works, whichever is the sooner. The Order has the following effect:- No person shall: - (a) proceed on foot, in the following length of Footpath at Holme in the District of Newark and Sherwood: Holme Footpath No.3 between grid reference points SK 8046 6022 and SK 8073 6025, as shown on the plan.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction there is no alternative route available for pedestrians. If the works are not completed within the above period, the Order may be extended for a longer period with the further approval of the Secretary of State for Transport. The prohibition is required to protect public safety following storm damage which has washed out the ground including a section of the footpath, and to facilitate repairs.
