What is happening?

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GINNS ROAD, STOCKING PELHAM)
ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Ginns Road, Stocking Pelham from its junction with C15 (unnamed road) south westwards for a distance of approximately 60m (“the Road”). An alternative route will be via C15 (unnamed road), B1038 (Pump Hill/ Conduit Lane/unnamed road), Horseshoe Hill, Horseshoe Lane, Worsted Lane, The Street, The Wash and Ginns Road.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 22 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B1004 RYE STREET AND
CANNONS MILL LANE, BISHOPS STORTFORD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:- 1. That length of B1004 Rye Street, Bishops Stortford from its junction with the B1004 Michaels Road/Hazelend Road roundabout south
westwards to its junction with Cannons Mill Lane, a distance of approximately 368m. An alternative route will be via B1004 Michaels Road, B1383 Stansted Road, A1250 (Hockerill Street/The Causeway/Link Road) and B1004 (Northgate End/Rye Street).

2. That length of Cannons Mill Lane, Bishops Stortford from its junction with B1004 Rye Street south eastwards for a distance of approximately 20m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 8 May 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

A copy of the proposed Orders may be inspected free of charge at County Hall, Hertford between the hours of 9am and 5pm (excluding weekends, bank and public holidays).
