What is happening?

CITY OF WESTMINSTER - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES
Vehicles will not be allowed to wait at any time in any of the below closed roads or roads made one-way. Any vehicle obstructing the road/crane works will be removed. Nothing in the Orders shall apply to anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform.

THE FOLLOWING ROADS WILL BE CLOSED TO VEHICLES for road works, all in 2024 unless stated. Every effort will be made by the contractor to complete the work as soon as possible.

Charles II Street and St James’s Square between Duke of York Street and Pall Mall & St James Square and Haymarket on 28 May 2024, for Council Resurfacing Works by WSP / FMC. Div = St James Square, Duke of York Street, Jermyn Street, King Street, St James Street, Pall Mall, Regent Street St James’ Special Conditions: Order will be valid for 12 months. HIGH56639.

Long Acre between Drury Lane and Arne Street on 27 - 28 June 2024 for Council Carriageway Repairs by FM Conway. Div = Long Acre, Wild Street, Kemble Street, Russell Street, Bow Street, Endell Street, Shelton Street, Arne Street Special Conditions: Order is valid for 6 months. HIGH62826.

Long Acre between Mercer Street and Endell Street on 17 - 18 June 2024, back-up dates 24 - 25 June 2024, for Chamber Access for Cabling Works by Fibrewave Installations Ltd. Div = Mercer Street, Shelton Street, Upper St Martins Lane, Garrick Street. Bedford Street, Strand, Drury Lane, Long Acre Special Conditions: Long Acre will become Two Way from St Martins Lane and Langley Street for access. HIGH62614.

PHASE 4: 22 - 25 May 2024 - Oxford Street to Cavendish Place - Northbound Directional Closure 13 - 25 May 2024, back-up dates TTO Valid for 18 Months, for Carriageway Reactive/Drainage Repair Works by FM Conway. Dover Street between Stafford Street and Hay Hill on 4, 5, 8, 9 June 2024. Div = Stafford Street, Albemarle Street, Grafton Street and Vice Versa. HIGH61427.

Jonathan Rowing Traffic Manager City Hall, 64 Victoria St, SW1E 6QP (Westminster City Council has made an order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 prohibiting vehicles from proceeding or waiting on the closed road, suspending any one-way traffic restriction thereon and on roads made two-way.)
