What is happening?
HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SCHOOL LANE, WELWYN) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of School Lane, Welwyn from its junction with Ayot St Peter Road north eastwards, eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with High Street, a distance of approximately 1717m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Ayot St Peter Road, Ayot Green Lane, B197 Digswell Hill, London Road and High Street.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 20 May 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON HIGH VIEW AND
BISHOPS RISE, HATFIELD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-
1. that length of High View, Hatfield from its junction with Bishops Rise south eastwards for a distance of approximately 15m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
2. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a left turn manoeuvre from the southbound carriageway of Bishops Rise into to its junction with High View, Hatfield.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH SITUATED BETWEEN NO.31 SWANLEY CRESCENT AND NO.15 ORCHARD WAY, LITTLE HEATH) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated between No.31 Swanley Crescent and No.15 Orchard Way, Little Heath from its junction with Swanley Crescent north eastwards to its junction with Orchard Way ("the Footpath"), a distance of approximately 70m.
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the east and south sides of Swanley Crescent, the footway situated on the south side of Swanley Bar Lane and the footway situated on the west side of Orchard Way.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 20 May 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HANDSIDE LANE, WELWYN GARDEN CITY) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Handside Lane, Welwyn Garden City from its junction with Springfields north eastwards for a distance of approximately 42m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via Handside Lane, Lemsford Lane, B195 Valley Road, Applecroft Road and Handside Lane.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 7 May 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROBBERY BOTTOM LANE, OAKLANDS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Robbery Bottom Lane, Oaklands from its junction with Lower Mardley Hill north eastwards to its junction with Larch Lane, a distance of approximately 135m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via Lower Mardley Hill, B197 (Mardley Hill/London Road), Mardleybury Road, White Horse Lane and Robbery Bottom Lane.
The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing utility pole is proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 2 May 2024 for a period of up to
18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs
on or near the Road.
