RHOPDIR RHYBUDD fod Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Conwy yn bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn, ddim llai na saith niwmod wedi dyddiad y rhybudd hwn, i wahardd cerbydau i fynd ar hyd y B5106 rhwng Llanrwst a Threfriw.

Mae angen y Gorchymyn er mwyn hwyluso gwaith atgyweirio ceuffos er mwyn datrys problemau llifogi a fydd yn cael ei gynnal dros gyfres o gau ffyrdd dros gyfnod o 18 mis i atgyweirio 5 ceuffos ar hyd y B5106 rhwng Llanrwst a Threfriw.

Bydd llwybrau amgen dros Bont Tal-y-cafn ac i lawr yr A470 yn ai i Lanrwst ar gyfer cerbydau dan 18 tunnell. Bydd cerbydau dros 18 tunnell yn cael eu dargyfeirio i lawryr A470 i ymuno a'r A55 tua'r gorllewin ac yn dod oddi ar Gyffordd 11 ac yn dilyn yr A5 i Fetws-y-coed i Lanrwst. Caniateir mynediad i gerbydau brys.

Daw'r Gorchymyn i rym ar 20 Mai 2024 am gyfnod o 18 mis a bydd mewn grym dim ond pan fydd arwyddion traffig priodol wedi eu gosod ar y safle cyn i'r gwaith ddechrau.

ROAP TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1) Conwy County Borough Council (B5106 between Llanrwst and Trefriw) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2024

NOTICE IS GIVEN that the Conwy County Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date hereof to make an Order, the effect of which will prohibit vehicles to proceed in that length of the B5106 between Llanrwst and Trefriw.

The Order is necessary to facilitate culvert repairs to alleviate flooding issues and will be carried out over a series of road closures over an 18 month period to repair 5 culverts along the B5106 between Llanrwst and Trefriw

Alternative routes will be over Tal y Cafn Bridge and down the A470 back into Llanrwst for vehicles under 18 tonne. Vehicles over 18 tonne will be diverted down the A470 to join the A55 westbound and come off at Junction 11 and follow the A5 to Betws y Coed and the A470 to Llanrwst. Emergency access will be maintained.

The Order which will come into effect on 20 May 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months and will be in force only when appropriate traffic signs are displayed on site in advance of works commencing.
