What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(COURT DRIVE, VERNON PLACE AND QUEENSWAY, DUNSTABLE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full lengths of Court Drive, Vernon Place and Queensway, Dunstable.
This temporary closure is required to enable gully cleansing works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 13 to 17 May 2024 between the hours of 8pm and 6am. The roads will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Kingsway, Church Street, High Street North and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 13 May 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(MANOR ROAD, CADDINGTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Manor Road, Caddington outside numbers 3 and 7.
This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway repair and kerbing works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 13 to 17 May 2024 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Manor Road.
The Order will come into operation on 13 May 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
NOTICE OF MAkING OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (CADDINGTON: BRIDLEWAY NOS 53, 54, 56 AND FOOTPATH NO. 55) PUBLIC PATH CREATION ORDER 2024
The above Order made on 26 April 2024 under Section 26 of the Highways Act 1980 will create a public footpath running between point V-W and public bridleways running between points A-B, F-V-G and H-J-K-L-M-N-O-P as shown on the Order maps.
The length of Bridleway No. 53, Caddington to be created extends from the access track alongside the LutonDunstable Busway at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0547 2216 in a generally south-easterly and then southerly direction for approximately 55 metres to OS GR TL 0550 2212 where it terminates at its junction with the A5065 Hatters Way. The new length of bridleway has a width of 4 metres.
The length of Bridleway No. 54, Caddington to be created extends from its junction with Chaul End Road (Chaul End) at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0559 2154 in a generally easterly direction along a track for approximately 33 metres to its junction with Footpath No. 55, Caddington at OS GR TL 0563 2153. It continues in a generally easterly direction along a track for approximately 293 metres to OS GR TL 0591 2147 where it terminates at its junction with Bridleway No. 8, Caddington. The new length of bridleway has a width of 4 metres.
The length of Footpath No. 55, Caddington to be created extends from its junction with Bridleway No. 54, Caddington at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0563 2153 in a generally south-south-westerly direction for approximately 93 meters to OS GR TL 0558 2145 where it terminates at its junction with Mallard Crescent. The new length of footpath has a width of 2.5 metres.
The length of Bridleway No. 56, Caddington to be created extends from its junction with Bridleway No. 4, Caddington at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0596 2107 in a south-easterly direction along the field edge for approximately 441 meters to OS GR TL 0628 2078 where it has a junction with Footpath No. 4, Caddington. It continues in a south-easterly direction for approximately 108 meters around the field edge to OS GR TL 0637 2072 and then in a southerly direction along the eastern field edge boundary for approximately 247 metres to OS GR TL 0636 2047. It continues in a westerly direction for approximately 50 metres to OS GR TL 0631 2048 and then extends in a generally southerly direction for approximately 388 metres along the western side of a field hedge boundary to OS GR TL 0636 2009, then extends for approximately 87 meters along the eastern side of a field hedge boundary to OS GR TL 0640 2002, where there it then turns in a westerly direction for approximately 5 meters through the hedge to terminate at its junction with Collings Wells Close at OS GR TL 0640 2001. The new length of bridleway has a width of 4 metres.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (CADDINGTON: PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 3) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2024
The above Order made on 26 April 2024 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert part of Footpath No. 3 running between points X-Y to a line running between points X-Z as shown on the Order map.
The length of Footpath No. 3, Caddington to be stopped up extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0645 1982 at its a junction with Luton Road in a generally northerly direction for approximately 73 meters through the All Saints Church graveyard to OS GR TL 0644 1989. The footpath is stopped up across its full width.
The length of Footpath No. 3, Caddington to be created extends from its junction with Luton Road at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0645 1982 in a generally northerly direction through the All Saints Church graveyard for approximately 73 meters to OS GR TL 0644 1989 where it has a junction with an unaffected section of Footpath No. 3, Caddington. The new section of the footpath has a width of 2 metres.
Limitations: A kissing gate at OS GR TL 0645 1982.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (CADDINGTON: PART OF FOOTPATH NO. 3) PUBLIC PATH EXTINGUISHMENT ORDER 2024
The above Order made on 26 April 2024 under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980 will extinguish the section of public Footpath No 3, Caddington which runs between points J-M as shown on the Order map.
That length of Footpath No. 3, Caddington to be stopped up extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0631 2048 in a generally northerly direction for approximately 303 metres to OS GR TL 0628 2078. The footpath is stopped up over its full width.

Please state the grounds on which they are made. Representations and objections must include either a postal or e-mail address. Any representations or objections made will be in the public domain and will be available for viewing/copying by members of the public.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Central Bedfordshire Council may confirm the Order(s) as an unopposed Order(s). If the Order(s) is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order(s) and will be made publicly available by either the Council or the Planning Inspectorate.
