(BEACON ROAD, CHATHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable services to be connected to a property -

Beacon Road, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 49 Beacon Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Upper Luton Road, Chatham Hill, Luton Road, Luton High Street and Beacon Hill.

This Order will come into force on Tuesday, 14 May 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Tuesday, 14 May 2024 and are programmed for completion within five days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(VICTORIA STREET, ROCHESTER) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable equipment to be placed in the road to carry out a survey of telecommunications equipment -

Victoria Street, Rochester - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the junction with Star Hill and across the frontage of 8 Victoria Street. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via East Row, Vines Lane, St Margarets Street and Boley Hill.

This Order will come into force on Sunday, 28 May 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence at 4am on 28 May 2024 and are programmed for completion by 10am the next day. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(SIDNEY ROAD AND COOKHAM HILL, BORSTAL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable highway maintenance works to be carried out -

Sidney Road and Cookham Hill, Borstal - to be closed to all vehicular traffic for the whole lengths of both roads to enable resurfacing to be carried out. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. Alternative routes will be provided and signed as the works progress. Emergency access will be maintained at all times.

This Order will come into force on Thursday, 30 May 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Thursday, 30 May 2024 and are programmed for (a) Sidney Road – 30 May for 1 day (7am to 7pm) and (b) Cookham Hill for 1 day on 31 May.

The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed. WOULDHAM ROAD, ROCHESTER: CHANGES TO WAITING RESTRICTIONS - NOTICE OF PROPOSALS (ROCHESTER) (PARKING PLACES AND WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO. *) ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council propose to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 1, 2, 32, 35, 37, 45, 46, 49, 51 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The effect of the Order would be to extend existing lengths of ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the north side of Wouldham Road and introduce a new restriction on the south side of the road as follows: (a) the north side (i) from 11.84 metres south-west of the west kerb-line of Warwick Crescent, for 6.5 metres in a north-east direction to join up with the existing lines; (ii) from 12.08 metres north-east of the east kerb-line of Warwick Crescent, for 6 metres in a south-west direction to join up with the existing lines; (b) the south side, from a point opposite a point 5.34 metres west of the west kerb-line of Warwick Crescent, for a distance of 19 metres in a north-easterly direction. Copies of the proposed Order, the council’s statement of reasons for making the Order, and of plans showing its effect, may be inspected at the front reception, Chatham Library, Dock Road, Chatham, Kent, ME4 4TX during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive (except for bank and public holidays). (ORDNANCE STREET, CHATHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable public utility works to be carried out -

Ordnance Street, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic from the junction with Ordnance Terrace and for a distance of 50 metres in a southerly direction. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Ordnance Terrace, Railway Street, New Cut, New Road Avenue, A2, A229, City Way, Old Pattens Lane, Boundary Road and Grosvernor Avenue.

This Order will come into force on Tuesday, 14 May 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Tuesday, 14 May 2024 and are programmed for completion within one night (between 7pm and 6am). The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(FOUR ELMS HILL, ROCHESTER) (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made the above-named Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act –

The effect of the Order will be to close to all vehicular traffic, with certain limited exemptions, the layby on the north-western side of Four Elms Hill which extends from a point 140 metres north-east of the centre line of Upchat Road overbridge for a distance of 165 metres in a north-easterly direction. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected.

The Order was made on 30 April 2024, and will come into effect on 7 May 2024.

Full details are contained in the made Order, a copy of which together with a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, a map indicating the location and effect and a copy of any Orders which will be amended or revoked by a made Order, may be examined at the Front Reception, Medway Council Offices, Gun Wharf, Dock Road, Chatham, Kent ME4 4TR, during normal office hours from Friday, 3 May 2024.

(WHIFFEN’S AVENUE, CHATHAM) (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made the above-named Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act –

The effect of the Order will be to close to all motor vehicles the west-east section of Whiffen’s Avenue. Pedal propelled vehicles and pedestrian traffic will not be affected.

The Order was made on 30 April 2024, and will come into effect on 7 May 2024.

(VARIOUS ROADS, MEDWAY) (COMMUNITY EVENTS) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to facilitate the construction and removal of structures required for the holding of public community events, or because of the likelihood of danger to the public whilst an event is taking place –

Traffic Management - To facilitate the holding of the event mentioned in column (1) of the Table, on the dates and between the times set out in the corresponding columns (2) and (3), the traffic management provisions detailed in the Schedule identified in the corresponding column (4) will apply. These provisions will be in force as indicated in the Schedule below. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. Alternative routes for through traffic will be signed locally. Access to premises will be maintained where possible.

This Order came into force on Monday, 29 April 2024, and will cease to have effect on Tuesday, 20 August 2024. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
