Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Temporary Road Closures:

SWT30/0524 - SD007716 - Hollam Lane in the parish of Dulverton. Hollam Lane from the junction with the B3222 Jury Road to the junction with Northcombe Lane, for a distance of 1150 metres. SWT31/0524 - SD007717 - Hollam Lane in the parish of Dulverton. Hollam Lane from the junction with Northcombe Lane to the junction with the A396 Bridgetown to Exbridge Road (Chillybridge Wood), for a distance of 2380 metres.

SWT32/0524 - SD007718 - Liscombe to Spire Cross in the parish of Dulverton. Liscombe to Spire Cross from the junction with Mounsey Hill Gate via Old Ashway to the junction with the B3223 Mounsey Hill Gate to Spire Cross, for a distance of 1630 metres.

SWT33/0524 - SD007719 - Liscombe to Tarr Steps in the parish of Dulverton. Liscombe to Tarr Steps from the junction with Liscombe to Spire Cross to 1030 metres from the junction with Liscombe to Spire Cross, for a distance of 1030 metres.

This Order will enable Somerset Highways to carry out phased preparation works and surface dressing works. The Order becomes effective on 26th April 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The phased works are expected to commence any time after 1st May 2024. The works will be for ONE DAY within the stated period and the road will be reopened when no works are taking place. Statement of Reasons for making the Order

a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; or b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
