What is happening?
Hertfordshire County Council:
(Temporary Closing Of The Cycle Track Situated On The North West Side Of Market Street, Watford) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedal cycles from using the cycle track situated on the north west side of Market Street, Watford from a point in line with the western boundary of No.22 Market Street north eastwards for a distance of approximately 22m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via pedal cyclists to dismount and use the footway.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Cycle Track.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 13 May 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. (Temporary Closing Of Various Public Footpaths In Bushey Order 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of footpath ("the Footpaths"):-
1. that length of Bushey Public Footpath No.031 from its junction with Chiltern Avenue north eastwards to its junction with Oundle Avenue, a distance of approximately 124m.
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north east side of Chiltern Avenue, the footway situated on the south east side of Cotswold Avenue and the footway situated on the south west side of Oundle Avenue.
2. that length of Bushey Public Footpath No.032 from its junction with Oundle Avenue north eastwards to its junction with Pentland Road, a distance of approximately 103m.
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north east side of Oundle Avenue, the footway situated on the south east side of Cotswold Avenue the footway situated on the south west side of Pentland Road.
3. that length of Bushey Public Footpath No.041 from its junction with Garratts Road north eastwards to its junction with Little Bushey Lane, a distance of approximately 310m.
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the east side of Garratts Road, the footway situated on the south side of Coombe Road, the footway situated on the east side of Ivinghoe Road, the footway situated on the south side of Chiltern Avenue and the footway situated on the west side of Little Bushey Lane.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpaths.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 13 May 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpaths. (Temporary Closing Of Cherry Tree Road And Leggatts Wood Avenue, Watford) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-
1. that length of Cherry Tree Road, Watford from its junction with Leggatts Wood Avenue south westwards for a distance of approximately 10m.
An alternative route will be via Cherry Tree Road, Berry Avenue, Ash Tree Road, Leggatts Wood Avenue, Hazel Tree Road, Oakdene Road and Cherry Tree Road.
2. that length of Leggatts Wood Avenue, Watford from its junction with Cherry Tree Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 10m.
An alternative route will be via Cherry Tree Road, Berry Avenue, Ash Tree Road and Leggatts Wood Avenue or via Cherry Tree Road, Oakdene Road, Hazel Tree Road and Leggatts Wood Avenue.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 13 May 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads. (Temporary Closing Of Old Uxbridge Road, West Hyde) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Old Uxbridge Road, West Hyde from its junction with Chalfont Lane north eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 168m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via Chalfont Lane, A412 Denham Way and Old Uxbridge Road.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 15 May 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (Temporary Closing Of Various Roads In Aldenham, Bushey And Watford) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-
1. that length of Hilfield Lane, Aldenham from its junction with Summerhouse Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 233m.
An alternative route will be via Hilfield Lane, B462 Hartspring Lane, A41 Elton Way, Sandy Lane and Hilfield Lane.
2. that length of Berry Grove Lane, Bushey from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.2 Berry Grove Cottages north westwards for a distance of approximately 122m.
An alternative route will be via Berry Grove Lane, A41 (North Western Avenue/ Otterspool Way/North Western Avenue Colne Way/North Western Avenue), A412 St Albans Road, Bushey Mill Lane and Berry Grove Lane or via Berry Grove Lane, Bushey Mill Lane, A412 St Albans Road, A41 (North Western Avenue/ North Western Avenue Colne Way/Otterspool Way), the A41 (Otterspool Way/ B462 Hartspring Way roundabout), A41 North Western Avenue, Otterspool Way and Berry Grove Lane.
3. that length of Park Avenue, Bushey from its junction with B462 Hartspring Lane north westwards to its junction with Otterspool Way, a distance of approximately 122m.
An alternative route will be via B462 Hartspring Lane, Bushey Mill Lane and Park Avenue.
4. that length of Otterspool Way, Watford from its junction with Park Avenue north westwards for a distance of approximately 50m.
An alternative route will be via Park Avenue, B462 Hartspring Lane, A41 North Western Avenue and Otterspool Way or via Otterspool Way, A41 North Western Avenue, the A41 North Western Avenue/M1 (junction 5) roundabout, A41 Otterspool Way, B462 Hartspring Lane and Park Avenue.
5. that length of Hillfield Lane, Aldenham from its junction with Sandy Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 214m.
An alternative route will be via Sandy Lane, A41 Tylers Way and Hillfield Lane. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 13 May 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads. (Temporary Closing Of Clay Lane, Bushey Heath) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Clay Lane, Bushey Heath from its junction with A409 Heathbourne Road north westwards to its junction with A411 Elstree Road, a distance of approximately 531m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via A409 Heathbourne Road and A411 Elstree Road. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 13 May 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (Temporary Closing Of Chorleywood Bottom, Chorleywood) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Chorleywood Bottom, Chorleywood from its junction with Lower Road eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 85m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Lower Road, Shire Lane, Station Approach and Chorleywood Bottom.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 13 May 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (Temporary Closing Of Shire Lane, Chorleywood) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Shire Lane, Chorleywood from its junction with Chalfont Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 60m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Chalfont Lane, Blacketts Wood Drive, Whitelands Avenue and Shire Lane.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 27 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Berry Lane, Rickmansworth from a point in line with the eastern boundary of 'Soundgarden' south westwards to a point in line with the eastern boundary of 'The Cottage', a distance of approximately 108m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via Berry Lane, Chiltern Drive, Shepherds Lane and Berry Lane.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 30 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (Temporary Closing Of Old Shire Lane, Chorleywood) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Old Shire Lane, Chorleywood from its junction with Heronsgate Road south westwards for its entire length, ("the Road"), except for access.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out.
However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because tree cutting works are proposed to be executed near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 29 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (Temporary Closing And Temporary Waiting Restrictions In Various Roads In Chorleywood And Rickmansworth) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Quickley Lane, Chorleywood from its junction with Rendlesham Way north eastwards to its junction with Hillside Road, a distance of approximately 383m.
An alternative route will be via Quickley Lane, Heronsgate Road, Shire Lane and Hillside Road.
2. that length of The Drive, Rickmansworth from its junction with The Clump south eastwards to its junction with High Close, a distance of approximately 689m.
An alternative route will be via The Clump, Valley Road and The Drive.
3. that length of The Clump, Rickmansworth from its junction with A404 Chorleywood Road south westwards to its junction with The Drive, a distance of approximately 248m.
An alternative route will be via A404 (Chorleywood Road/Rickmansworth Road), Dog Kennel Lane, Berry Lane, Valley Road and The Clump.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 29 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads. The Hertfordshire (Hagden Lane, Watford) (Restriction Of Waiting And Revocation Of Permit Parking) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce new waiting restrictions on part of Hagden Lane, Watford as specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice. The existing permit holders parking places will be removed as specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice. The Order will come into effect on Monday 29 April 2024. SCHEDULE 1: No waiting at any time - that section of road listed below and as set out in the Order and scheme plan - Hagden Lane, the south-east side, outside No. 39, and between Nos. 49 and 128.
SCHEDULE 2: Removal of parking places - that section of road listed below and as set out in the scheme plan - Hagden Lane, the north-west side, outside Nos. 112, 114 and 116.
The Hertfordshire (Bushey Hall Road And Aldenham Road, Bushey) (Restriction Of Waiting) Order 2023
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce waiting restrictions in parts of Bushey as specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The Order will come into effect on Monday 29 April 2024.
