What is happening?
REDCAR AND CLEVELAND BOROUGH COUNCIL
(HIGHWAY MAINTENANCE) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES ORDER 2024
The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the lengths of road specified below.
The effect of the Order will be to: -
1. Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in the lengths of road as specified in Schedule 1 below.
2. Impose a mandatory 30 mph speed limit on the lengths of road as specified in Schedule 2 below. (Vehicles falling within Regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with Regulation 3(5) of these Regulations will be exempt from the restrictions.) Local diversions will be in operation.
The Order came into operation on 22.4.24 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months. The restrictions will only apply at such times and to such an extent as shall from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
