What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

SWALE AREA

A2 ST MICHAELS ROAD, SITTINGBOURNE, ME10 4PP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024

To allow street lighting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of A2 St Michaels Road, Sittingbourne, from 21.00 hours on 7th May 2024, with estimated completion by 04.00 hours on 8th May 2024, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the traffic lights heading towards Milton Road, to the junction with Church Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via A2 St Michaels Road, Crown Quay Lane, Eurolink Way, Mill Way, King Street, St Pauls Street, Staplehurst Road, Pearl Walk, Bobbing Interchange, Sheppey Way, Key Street Roundabout, A249 Key Street Roundabout To Bobbing Interchange, Key Street, London Road, West Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

BUTLERS HILL, DARGATE. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024

To allow replacement pole works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Butlers Hill, Dargate, on or after 10th May 2024, with estimated completion by 13th May 2024, between the hours of 09.00 and 17.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Crockham Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Butlers Hill, Dargate Road, Courtenay Road, Canterbury Road, Staplestreet Road, Church Hill, Butlers Hill and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

CHEQUERS HILL, DODDINGTON. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Chequers Hill, Doddington, on or after 8th May 2024, with estimated completion by 9th May 2024, between the hours of 09.00 and 17.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed 60m from the junction with Down Court Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Chequers Hill, Down Court Road, Bluetown Lane, Manor Road, Torry Hill, Ringlestone Road, The Street, Chequers Hill and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

EASTLING ROAD, EASTLING. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Eastling Road, Eastling, on or after 20th May 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in both directions from the junction with North Eastling Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Eastling Road, Otterden Road, Bunce Court Road, Warren Street, Hubbards Hill, Rayners Hill, A20 Ashford Road, A20 Maidstone Road, A252 Charing Hill, Faversham Road, Broomfield Lane, A251 Ashford Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

HEARTS DELIGHT ROAD, TUNSTALL, ME9 8JB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024

To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Hearts Delight Road, Tunstall, on or after 20th May 2024, with estimated completion by 21st May 2024, between the hours of 10.30 and 16.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Wrens Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Hearts Delight Road, Tunstall Road, Woodstock Road, Bell Road, A2 St Michaels Road, A2 London Road, Borden Lane, Bannister Hill and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

LITTLE GLOVERS, SITTINGBOURNE, ME10 4EB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024

To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on Little Glovers, Sittingbourne, on or after 7th May 2024, with estimated completion by 9th May 2024, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed for the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

This closure is in conjunction with two-way lights on Bell Road.

There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

LOWER RAINHAM ROAD, UPCHURCH, ME8 8QR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Lower Rainham Road, Upchurch, on or after 20th May 2024, for up to 21 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Three Sisters Roundabout, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Otterham Quay Lane, A2 High Street, B2004 Station Road, Lower Rainham Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

SAXON ROAD, FAVERSHAM, ME13 7LX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024

To allow repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Saxon Road, Faversham, on or after 20th May 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of Norman Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for Saxon Road is via Saxon Road, School Road, B2040 South Road, Saxon Road and vice versa.

The alternative route for Norman Road is via Roman Road, Stone Street, Saxon Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

SEED ROAD, DODDINGTON. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024

To allow replacement pole works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Seed Road, Doddington, on or after 8th May 2024, with estimated completion by 9th May 2024, between the hours of 09.00 and 17.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Shulland Court, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Hopes Hill, Old Lenham Road, Lady Margaret Manor Road, Frangbury, Seed Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

WALLERS ROAD, FAVERSHAM, ME13 7PL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024

To allow steel repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Wallers Road, Faversham, on or after 20th May 2024, for up to 4 days, between the hours of 22.00 and 05.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the railway bridge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There will be gate marshals on site during the works to allow access to residents of Grove Place and Wallers Road.

The alternative route is via Grove Place, B2040 Ospringe Road, Lower Road, Wallers Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

YAUGHER LANE, HARTLIP, ME9 7XE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024

To allow pole works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Yaugher Lane, Hartlip, on or after 10th May 2024, with estimated completion by 13th May 2024, between the hours of 09.00 and 17.00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Oak Barn Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Matts Hill Lane, Warren Lane, Place Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
