Gravesham, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices
What is happening?
Highways
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
GRAVESHAM AREA
ALEXANDRA ROAD, GRAVESEND, DA12 2QZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of SGN works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Alexandra Road, Gravesend, on or after 7th May 2024 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside 3A.
The alternative route is via Denton Street, Waterton Avenue, Mark Lane, Lower Range Road, Alexandra Road and vice versa.
GOLD STREET, COBHAM, DA12 3AA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of a new connection, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Gold Street, Cobham, on or after 20th May 2024 for up to 31 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Mulberry House.
The alternative route is via Gold Street, Sole Street, Camer Road, Green Lane, Camer Park Road, Oakenden Road, Luddesdown Road, Henley Street and vice versa.
ST THOMAS AVENUE, GRAVESEND, DA11 7QN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Thomas Avenue, Gravesend, on or after 7th May 2024 for up to 1 night between 19.00hrs and 06.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with A227 Wrotham Road.
The alternative route is via A227 Wrotham Road, Cross Lane West, Trosley Avenue, St Thomas Avenue and vice versa.
VARIOUS FOOTPATHS, VIGO, GRAVESHAM (PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS & CYCLES) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of gas mains replacement by SGN, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic as per the below.

Hornbeams - Footpath side of 2 Chestnut Lane – side of 1 HornbeamsThe diversion route is via Chestnut Lane.
