Temporary Closing Of Byway Open To All Traffic Elstree & Borehamwood 60
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians, horseriders, cyclists and vehicles from using that length of Byway Open to All Traffic Elstree & Borehamwood 60, from junction with Theobald Street to southwest bank of Tykes Water, for an approximate distance of 120 m. Alternative route: (for pedestrians) via The purpose of the Order is to enable installtation works to take place. The section of Byway Open to All Traffic will be closed on or after 29 April 2024 for up to 4 weeks, when signs are in place. (Temporary Closing Of St Michael Rural Public Footpath No.017 And St Albans City Public Footpath No.090) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of footpath ("the Footpaths"):-
1. that length of St Michael Rural Public Footpath No.017, from its junction with New Greens Avenue south westwards to its junction with St Albans City Public Footpath No.090, a distance of approximately 220m.
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the west side of New Greens Avenue, the footway situated on the north side of Carnegie Road, the footway situated on the east and north sides of Cavan Drive, the footway situated on the east side of High Oaks, the footway situated on the south side of Sparrowswick Ride and St Albans City Public Footpath No.090.
2. that length of St Albans City Public Footpath No.090, from its junction with St Michael Rural Public Footpath No.017 south eastwards to its junction with Cavan Drive, a distance of approximately 37m.
An alternative route will be via St Albans City Public Footpath No.090, the footway situated on the south side of Sparrowswick Ride, the footway situated on the east side of High Oaks and the footway situated on the north side of Cavan Drive. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpaths.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 6 May 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpaths.

(Temporary Closing Of A5183 Holywell Hill, St Albans) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A5183 Holywell Hill, St Albans from a point in line with the northern boundary of No.11 Holywell Hill south westwards for a distance of approximately 26m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via A5183 (Holywell Hill/High Street/ Verulam Road/Folly Lane/Redbourn Road), A4147 Bluehouse Hill, King Harry Lane, B4630 Watford Road and A5183 (St Stephens Hill/Holywell Hill) or via A5183 Holywell Hill, A1081 London Road, A414 North Orbital Road and A5183 (Watling Street/St Stephens Hill/Holywell Hill).
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 13 May 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing And Temporary Waiting Restrictions In Various Roads In Harpenden) Order No.2 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Pendennis Court, Harpenden from its junction with Eastcote Drive north westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
2. that length of Nairn Close, Harpenden from its junction with Eastcote Drive north westwards for its entire length.

(Temporary Closing Of Walkers Road And The Footway Situated On The South Side Of Walkers Road, Harpenden) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular and pedestrian traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-
1. that length of Walkers Road, Harpenden from a point in line with the western boundary of No.2 Cosne Mews north eastwards for a distance of approximately 82m.
An alternative route will be via Walkers Road, A1081 St Albans Road, Southdown Road and Walkers Road.
2. the footway situated on the south side of Walkers Road, Harpenden from a point in line with the western boundary of No.2 Cosne Mews north eastwards for a distance of approximately 82m. An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the south side of Walkers Road, the footway situated on the east and south sides of Queens Road, the footway situated on the south west side of Southdown Road and the footway on the south side of Walkers Road.
The Order is needed because bridge inspection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 13 May 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(Temporary Closing And Temporary Waiting Restrictions In Linwood Road, Harpenden) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Linwood Road, Harpenden from its junction with Broadstone Road northwards and north westwards for its entire length ("the Road"), except for access.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 13 May 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Drop Lane, Bricket Wood) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Drop Lane, Bricket Wood from its junction with Station Road south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Smug Oak Lane, a distance of approximately 2368m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via Station Road and Smug Oak Lane. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 16 May 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Loom Lane, Radlett) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Loom Lane, Radlett from its junction with Aldenham Avenue south eastwards to its junction with Aldenham Avenue, a distance of approximately 209m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via Aldenham Avenue, Christchurch Crescent, Loom Place and Loom Lane.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 15 May 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. The Hertfordshire (Tykeswater Lane – Aldenham Byway 079, Elstree And Elstree & Borehamwood Byway 060, Borehamwood) (Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2022
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce a prohibition of driving except permit holders on byways in parts of Elstree and Borehamwood as specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Permits and Permit Holders shall have the meaning as given within the Order. The Permit issuing authority will be Hertfordshire County Council. The prohibition will apply in respect of any Motor Vehicle and any Horse-Drawn Vehicle. The Order will come into effect on Monday 29 April 2024. NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made the above mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce new restrictions in George Street, St Albans as specified in the Schedules to this Notice. The Orders will come into effect on 26 April 2024.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Drakes Drive, St Albans from its junction with A1081 London Road north eastwards to its junction with Cell Barnes Lane, a distance of approximately 418m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via A1081 London Road, Highfield Park Drive, Highfield Lane, Hill End, Lane, Camp Road and Drakes Drive. 1. that length of Lybury Lane, Redbourn from its junction with Wheatlock Mead south eastwards to its junctions with The Common, a distance of approximately 255m.
An alternative route will be via Lybury Lane, Ridgedown, Snatchup, Long Cutt, Crouch Hall Lane, Lamb Lane and North Common.
2. that length of North Common, Redbourn from its junction with Lybury Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 25m.
An alternative route will be via Lybury Lane, Ridgedown, Snatchup, Long Cutt, Crouch Hall Lane, Lamb Lane and The Common or via Lybury Lane, The Common and North Common.
3. that length of North Common, Redbourn from its junction with Lybury Lane south westwards for a distance of approximately 25m.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 29 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months.
