C24 Suffield Lane, Puttenham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 24 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and Part IV to Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 

1. Prohibit all traffic (including pedestrians and cyclists) from entering or proceeding in that length of C24 Suffield Lane, Puttenham that extends from its junction with C23 Littleworth Road, to a point 20m north-east of the “Cutt Mill Culvert”.

2. Revoke “The Surrey County Council C24 Suffield Lane, Puttenham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” in its entirety. This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to safely erect a dam and/or carry culvert inspections and/or repairs and/or carriageway resurfacing and/or maintenance works.

These works are anticipated to be carried out within 4 weeks of the 33 week period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 04 May 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. No sole access to property will be affected. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times to the point of closure via the footway to Suffield Lane, Seale Lane, Puttenham Road, Elstead Road and Littleworth Road.

Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times to the point of closure via the alternative route for vehicular traffic – From the southern end of closure – C23 Littleworth Road, C21 Elstead Road, C119 The Street, A31 Hogs Back, B3000 Puttenham Hill, C20 The Street and C24 Suffield Lane. From the northern end of closure – C24 Suffield Lane, C20 The Street, B3000 Puttenham Hill, A31 Hogs Back, C21 Elstead Road and C23 Littleworth Road.

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Bridge Street (D3807) and Mayo Road (D3806)
Walton On Thames
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic and Left Turn Order 2024

On 24 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to (i) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Bridge Street (D3807) Walton On Thames as extends from its junction with (D3806) Mayo Road to its junction with (A3050) Hepworth Way; and, (ii) Prohibit vehicles that are proceeding in Mayo Road (D3806) Walton On Thames from turning left into (D3807) Bridge Street.

Alternative Route: (A3050) Hepworth Way and Bridge Street, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to carry out sewer utility works for, or on behalf of Cappagh Contractors.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 15 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 06 May 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure and the temporary prohibition, which are anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic including emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected.

Cumberland Drive (D6817) Esher
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 24 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Cumberland Drive (D6817) Esher as extends from its junction with (D6814) Manor Road North to its junction with (D6816) Chesterfield Drive.

Alternative Route: Manor Road North, Claygate Lane, and Chesterfield Drive, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate mobile crane lifting works for, or on behalf of Southern Cranes and Access Ltd.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 8am and 4pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 01 May 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Cross Lanes (D4007) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 24 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Cross Lanes (D4007) Guildford as extends from its junction with (X4007) Mathon Court to its junction with (X4007) Glebe Court. 

Alternative Route: Cross Lanes, (A3100) London Road, Clandon Road, and Cross Lanes, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate installation and removal of telecom cabinet works for, or on behalf of Touchstone Traffic Solutions.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 07 May 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Glebeland Gardens (D6288) Shepperton
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 24 April 2024 Surrey County Council made above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Glebeland Gardens (D6288) Shepperton as extends from its junction with (B376) High Street to its junction with (D6288) Broadlands Avenue.

Alternative Route: Broadlands Avenue, (B3366) Green Lane, and (B376) High Street, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate water utility works for, or on behalf of Chevron TM.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 May 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via road plates, if necessary, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

D160 Pickhurst Road, Chiddingfold
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 24 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D160 Pickhurst Road, Chiddingfold which extends from its junction with High Street Green to its junction with Shillinglee Park Road.

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate resurfacing of carriageway and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 30 April 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises, including emergency service vehicle access, within the length of roads specified or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Alternative Route – C34 High Street Green, C34 Chiddingfold Road, C33 Plaistow Road and D161 Fisher Lane.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2024

On 24 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 to this Notice.

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate resurfacing of carriageway and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 27 April 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

1. that length of B3407 High Street, Egham from its junction with A30 Egham ByPass to its junction with Church Road. Alternative Route – A30 Egham ByPass, A308 The Glanty, B388 The Avenue, B3407 High Street and B3407 Church Road.

Schedule 2 (Spelthorne)

1. that length of A308 Staines Bridge, Staines-Upon-Thames which extends from its junction with Clarence Street to its junction with The Causeway.

Alternative Route 1 – A308 The Causeway, A308 The Glanty, A30 Egham Bypass, A30 slip road northbound, B376 Staines By-Pass, B376 Wraysbury Road, B376 Bridge Street. Alternative Route 2 – B376 Staines Road, C244 Worple Road, C248 Kingston Road and C243 Gresham Road2. that length of B376 Laleham Road, Staines-Upon-Thames which extends from its junction with Gresham Road to its junction with Hereford Close.

Alternative Route – B376 Staines Road, C244 Worple Road, C248 Kingston Road, C243 Gresham Road; 3. that length of B376 Staines Road, Laleham which extends from its junction with Worple Road to its junction with the Broadway. Alternative Route – B377 The Broadway, B377 Ashford Road, C248 Kingston Road and C244 Worple Road; 4. that length of D6291 Manygate Lane, Shepperton which extends from its junction with Green Lane to its junction with Russell Road.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2024

On 24 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to:-

(a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 to this Notice; and (b) suspend “Surrey County Council (Various Roads in Oxshott, Cobham, and Leatherhead (Experimental Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles) Order 2023) (Amendment No.2) Order 2023” insofar as it relates to Oaklawn Road and Oxshott Road only.

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate resurfacing of carriageway and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 27 April 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Schedule 1 (Elmbridge)

1. the entire length of D6844 Albany Crescent, Claygate. Alternative Route – D6844 The Parade, C158 Hare Lane and D6845 Foley Road; 2. the entire length of D3904 Vaux Crescent, Hersham.

Alternative Route – C152 Burwood Road; 3. that length of (a) the eastbound carriageway of A309 Kingston Bypass, Long Ditton which extends from its junction with Manor Road North to its roundabout junction with Claygate Lane; and (b) the northernmost arm of the eastbound carriageway of A309 Kingston Bypass, Long Ditton (otherwise known as Hook Rise North) which extends from its junction with the southernmost arm of the eastern carriageway of A309 Kingston Bypass, eastwards to the boundary of the Borough of Elmbridge and the Royal Borough of Kingston and Chessington.

Alternative Route – Scilly Isles roundabout, Esher High Street, Portsmouth Road, Between Streets, Stoke Road, Woodlands Lane, Oaklawn Road, Oxshott Road, A243 Leatherhead Road, Ace of Spades roundabout and A309 Kingston ByPass; 4. that length of the westbound carriageway of A309 Kingston Bypass, Long Ditton which extends from its roundabout junction with Claygate Lane, eastwards to the boundary of the Borough of Elmbridge and the Royal Borough of Kingston and Chessington. 

Alternative Route – A309 Kingston ByPass, Ace of Spades roundabout, A243 Leatherhead Road, Oxshott Road, Oaklawn Road, Woodlands Lane, Stoke Road, Between Streets, Portsmouth Road, Esher High Street and Scilly Isles roundabout.

Schedule 2 (Runnymede)

1. that length of B385 Woodham Lane, Addlestone which extends from its junction with A318 New Haw Road to its junction with A245 Woodham Lane.

Alternative Route – A318 New Haw Road, A318 Brighton Road, B3121 Church Road, B3121 Spinney Hill, B3121 Murray Road, A320 Guildford Road, A320 Chertsey Road, A245 Six Crossroads Roundabout and A245 Woodham Lane; 2. the entire length of D7004 Crabtree Road, Egham.

There is no diversion route possible; 3. that length of D3199 Ten Acre Lane, Egham which extends from a point 10m south of its roundabout junction with Crab Tree Road to its junction with the access road leading to Egham Business Park. Alternative Route – D3199 Ten Acre Lane, D3167 Coldharbour Lane, D3199 Village Road, D3176 Green Road, B388 Thorpe ByPass and D3199 Ten Acre Lane.

Station Road (B3121) Addlestone
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 24 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Station Road (B3121) Addlestone that is crossed by the Addlestone Level-Crossing and for a distance of 20 metres on each side.

Alternative Route: (B3121) Station Road, (A318) High Street, (A318) Chertsey Road, (A317) St Peters Way, (A317) Woburn Hill, (A317) Weybridge Road, and (B3121) Station Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate utility works and/or maintenance and/or improvement works to be carried out for, or on behalf of Network Rail.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 8 weeks of nightworks, within the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 12 May 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Holloway Hill (D169) Godalming
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Holloway Hill (D169) Godalming which extends from its junction with Braemar Close (D5426) to the southeastern property boundary line of “10 Summerhouse Road”.

Alternative Route – Holloway Hill (D169), Ockford Road (A3100), Shackstead Lane (D5404) and Tuesley Lane (D169) or the same route in reverse.

The Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works which is anticipated to be completed within 4 days, between 9:30am and 2:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 14 May 2024. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

St Marys Road (D6915) East Molesey
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of St Marys Road (D6915) East Molesey which extends from its junction with Matham Road (D6915) to the southwest property boundary line of “18 St Marys Road”.

Alternative Route – No diversion route available.

The Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 16 May 2024. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Send Marsh Road (B368) Send, Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; a) Send Marsh Road (B368) Send as extends from its junction with (D893) Maysfield Road to its junction with (X368) Green Drive; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Send Marsh Road (B368) Send, Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023” insofar as it affects the length of road specified in part (a) of this Notice.

Alternative Route: (B368) Send Marsh Road, (B368) Send Marsh Green, (B368) Send Marsh Road, (B2215) Portsmouth Road, (A247) Send Barns Lane, and (B368) Send Marsh Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to carry out water utility works for, or on behalf of Chevron TM. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days between 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 20 May 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.

The Glanty (A308) Egham and Station Road (B3121) Addlestone
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate resurfacing of carriageway and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 13 May 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

1. that length of Station Road (B3121) Addlestone which extends from its junction with Brighton Road to its junction with Garfield Road

.Alternative Route – A318 High Street, A318 Chertsey Road and A317 Woburn Hill; 2. (a) that length of The Glanty (A308) Egham which comprises the entire length of the circulatory carriageway situated at or adjacent to the junctions of A308 The Glanty, D3136 Woodhaw and D7304 The Glanty and 15m either side of the roundabout junction; (b) that length of The Glanty (D7304) Egham which extends from its roundabout junction with A308 The Glanty southwards for a distance of 10m; and (c) that length of Woodhaw (D3136) Egham which extends from its junction with A308 The Glanty northwards for a distance of 10m.

Alternative Route – B3376 Thorpe Road, B3376 Thorpe Lea Road, B3376 New Wickham Lane, B388 Vicarage Road, B388 High Street, B388 The Avenue and A30 Egham By Pass.

Various Roads in Elmbridge and Spelthorne
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 to this Notice; and (b) revoke in part “Surrey County Council B369 Walton Road, B3379 Esher Road, B3379 Bridge Road and D6933 Hansler Grove, East Molesey Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” insofar as it relates to Walton Road only.

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate asphalt preservation/carriageway treatment works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 13 May 2024. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

Schedule 1 (Elmbridge)

1. that length of D3865 Oatlands Chase, Weybridge which extends from its junction with Oatlands Drive to its junction with Ashley Road. Alternative Route – B365 Ashley Road (and then one-way either A244 Ashley Road or A244 High Street/A244 Ashley Road), A244 New Zealand Avenue, A3050 Oatlands Drive and A244 Ashley Road; 2. that length of A244 New Zealand Avenue, Walton-on-Thames which extends from its junction with Bridge Street to its junction with Ashley Road.

Alternative  Route 1 – A244 High Street, A244 Ashley Road, B365 Ashley Road, A317 Queens Road and A3050 Oatlands Drive;

Alternative Route 2 – A244 Ashley Road, B365 Ashley Road, A317 Queens Road and A3050 Oatlands Drive; 3. that length of C153 Molesey Road, Molesey which extends from its junction with Walton Road to its junction with Rydens Road.

Alternative Route 1 – D3830 Rydens Road, A244 Hersham Road, A244 Ashley Road, A244 New Zealand Avenue, A3050 Bridge Street, A3050 Hepworth Way, A3050 Terrace Road and B269 Walton Road;
