Birches Head Road - Temporary Road Restrictions For Music Festival

What is happening?

City of Stoke on Trent (Birches Head Road, Stoke)
(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order (No.047) 2024

Notice is hereby given that Stoke on Trent City Council intend to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act, 1991, the effect of which will be to prohibit the driving of any vehicle along Birches Head Road between Widecombe Road and Redhills Road.

The order is to allow for the crowd to safely exit a music festival on Saturday 4th May 2024 and Sunday 5th May 2024 21:30 to 23:00 on both days or until the crowd has all safely exited the venue, whichever is the earlier.

Pedestrian facilities will be maintained throughout the period of the closure as far as possible.

Access to properties will NOT be maintained as far as possible.

Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained as far as possible. Nothing in the Order shall apply unless indicated by traffic signs or cones or by the direction of a police officer in uniform.
