What is happening?

PUBLIC NOTICE THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL

(CHURCH ROAD) 

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Church Road in both directions between its junctions with Oxbarn Avenue and Glenmore Close.

 The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 7 May 2024 until 8 May 2024. 

The diversion route is: Oxbarn Avenue, Coalway Road and vice versa. The Order is required to facilitate interim to permanent reinstatement by Severn Trent Water.
