BLYTH VALLEY PUBLIC FOOTPATH NUMBER 119
(TEMPORARY PUBLIC FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use of Blyth Valley Public Footpath Number 119, in the County of Northumberland.
The route is described as follows:
From a point 50 metres south-west of number 25 Elgin Court in a general southerly direction for a distance of 895 metres to a point 700 metres north of Arcot Hall Golf Course Cottage.
There is an alternative route available from a point 50 metres south-west of number 25 Elgin Court in an easterly direction for a distance of 280 metres to join Beacon Lane, then in a general southerly direction for a distance of 875 metres, then in a westerly direction, along the route of Blyth Valley Public Footpath Number 122 for a distance of 570 metres, to a point 700 metres north of Arcot Hall Golf Course Cottage.
The Order is to be effective from the 29th April 2024 until the 29th October 2024.

The closure has been requested by Bellway Homes and Persimmon Homes in the interests of public safety, to facilitate the construction of a housing development and associated infrastructure works.
