Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along:

Temporary Road Closures:

MD01/0524 - SD007826 - Summerhill Lane in the parish of West Compton. Summerhill Lane from the junction with Back Lane to the junction with Ridge Road, for a distance of 1020 metres

MD02/0524 – SD007827 - Compton Lane in the parish of West Compton. Compton Lane from the junction with Back Lane to the junction with the B3136 Lamberts Hill, for a distance of 1470 metres.

MD03/0524 – SD007828 - Back Lane in the parish of West Compton. Back Lane from the junction with Compton Lane to the junction with Summerhill Lane, for a distance of 225 metres.

MD04/0524 - SD007829 - Compton Lane in the parish of West Compton. Compton Lane from the junction with Back Lane, north-westwards for a total distance of 218 metres.

MD40/0524 - SD007873 - B3099 Marsh Road in the parish of Berkley. B3099 Marsh Road from the junction with the A36 from junction with B3099 to junction with A361 East of Beckington to 660 metres from the junction with the A36 from junction B3099 to junction A361 East of Beckington (County Boundary), for a distance of 660 metres.

This Order will enable Somerset Highways to carry out phased preparation works and surface dressing works. The Order becomes effective on 25th April 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The phased works are expected to commence any time after 1st May 2024. The works will be for ONE DAY within the stated period and the road will be reopened when no works are taking place.
